Re-opened in 2016, this one-time 1900s movie theater was renovated for live concerts and accommodates 500 fans with row seating, the occasional stage-side tables, and limited balcony seats for one of the more intimate live experiences in the city.

Wedged between vintage shops, clothing boutiques, and a nearby record store, The Heights Theater is an icon itself on the iconic and historic 19th Street in one of the fastest-growing residential areas of Houston.

The modest theater-sized spaces make for close views of some of the most popular singer-songwriters, Texas talent, country artists, rock musicians, and local bands that come through this quiet and beloved Houston neighborhood.

Concertgoers who arrive early can choose from several well-known restaurants within walking distance, or within a short drive to White Oak Boulevard and 11th Street.

If you’re not in the mood to venture far from The Heights Theater, you can also enjoy full bar offerings and a kitchen that opens before the show with rotating menus.
