Standing just off the northeast corner of Washington Avenue and Heights Boulevard, the century-old Rockefeller’s has been home to many of Houston’s greatest shows in its heyday.
Originally a bank in the 1920s, the building served as a concert hall until 1997 before reopening to the public in 2016 as a live concert venue once again.
The stage at Rockefeller’s plays host to a wide range of performers from touring indie bands and country artists, to tribute groups and occasionally stand-up comedy.
With a capacity of 400, Rockefeller’s offers intimate live experiences with a unique balcony setup that sometimes allows fans to watch from directly above the performer.
The strand of food and drink options nearby along Washington Avenue make for great pre- and post-show imbibing. Arrive early to ensure parking in the lot behind the venue, or opt for a rideshare as the surrounding area has limited other parking options.
