• The Ranch Saloon & Steakhouse at NRG Park | Tuesday, February 28 to Sunday, March 19 – Berg Hospitality is bringing back its sit-down dining experience, The Ranch, to this year’s Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. The saloon and steakhouse sits on the southwest corner of NRG Astrodome, rocking two separate dining experiences—the more casual, first-come, first-served saloon with inside dining and a covered outdoor patio and main bar; and a formal steakhouse, where guests can make reservations to dine in advance. The group is also debuting “The Ranch After Dark,” a nightlife experience with DJ tunes and a live music stage from 10 pm to close. Prices and times vary.
• Heights Crawfish Festival at Resurrection Metropolitan Community Church | Saturday, March 4 | No Cover – The Greater Heights Area Chamber of Commerce is bringing back its annual Crawfish Festival, a family-friendly event featuring local shops and vendors, a Kids World, live Zydeco music, an Idol of the Heights contest, cold beer, and tasty crawfish. 11am to 6pm.
• Holi Supper by Chef Anita Jaisinghani at Pondicheri | Saturday, March 4 – The Upper Kirby restaurant hosts a special Holi supper by Chef Anita Jaisinghani, with several courses served in communal seating, highlighted by experimental menu options punctuated by rich, spicy notes and featuring flora and fauna of the local area. Reservations are $5; $75 per person. 6:30pm to 9pm.
• Let’s Talk Womxn presents Gold Glamour Gourmet Bash at Caracol | Sunday, March 5 – Kicking off Women’s History Month, volunteer-based collaborative movement Let’s Talk Womxn is hosting a “Let’s Talk & Celebrate” Gold Glamour Gourmet Bash featuring 24 restaurateurs. The evening will feature Houston hosts Sharon Haynes, Alli Jarrett, and Tracy Vaught as they honor Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day with abundant food, power cocktails, and entertainment. $100 per person. 6pm to 8pm.
• Sunday Brunch at the Champion Wine Garden | Sundays from March 5 to March 19 – Over at the Houston Rodeo, the Champion Wine Garden will host a themed brunch each Sunday morning throughout the season. Guests can expect special entertainment, bubble flights, and culinary brunch-style delights from different food trucks. Prices vary. 10am to noon.
• The Truffle Masters at the Revaire | Monday, March 6 — Hosted by Houston-based luxury food importer and distributor DR Delicacy, the Truffle Masters invites the city’s top chefs and eateries to face-off with their best truffle dishes, all to raise funds for the Houston Symphony. • Seltzerland: A Hard Seltzer Tasting Festival at Post Houston | Saturday, March 11 – Fans of the bubbly can head to Post Houston for a Saturday afternoon event tasting from more than 100 unique hard seltzers from big and small brands alike. • 7th Annual Hootenanny at Eureka Heights Brew Co. | Saturday, March 11 | FREE – Eureka Heights is dusting off its cowboy boots for the return of its Rodeo season favorite event, the annual Hootenanny. Expect daytime two-stepping alongside music from country artists Libby Koch and the Dealers, bbq goodness from Deckle and Hide, artisan vendors, games, and the release of its beloved Golden Buckle Cream Ale. 1pm to 6pm.
• 2023 OMG Food Fest at Aveva Stadium | Saturday, March 11 – This hip-hop food festival features DJs and bands playing old school, rap and hip-hop alongside a lineup of tasty food vendors, offering eats like tacos, boudin, turkey legs, bbq, and more. • 4th Annual Crawfish Cook-Off at Cactus Cove | Saturday, March 25 – The Timbergrove bar and grill celebrates the humble mudbug with its fourth annual cook-off, complete with cold beer, games and live music. Dogs and kiddos are welcome at this afternoon crawfish bash. $35 for entry, unlimited crawfish tasting, a People’s Choice vote, bar access and more. 1pm to 5pm.
