• Il Divo in Concert at Smart Financial Centre | Monday, August 29 – Following the tragic passing of Il Divo’s Carlos Marin, the remaining members of the multi-national group go on a Greatest Hits Tour and take the stage in Sugar Land. $69.50 and up. 8pm.
• Houston Dynamo FC vs. Los Angeles FC at PNC Stadium | Wednesday, August 31 – Some of the biggest names in MLS come to Houston for a midweek matchup that will see the Dynamo’s Héctor Herrera up against international teammate Carlos Vela, Italian legend Giorgio Chiellini and new signing Gareth Bale. $18 and up. 7:30pm.
• Secret Walls presents Support Your Local Artist (SYLA) Tour at Karbach Brewing Company | Wednesday, August 31 | FREE – LA-based live arts entertainment brand Secret Walls brings its 30+ city tour featuring high-energy physical illustration and design battles between local art talent to Karbach for one night only. Featured Houston artists and muralists include Ghoul Shack, Alex Arzu, Nicky Davis, Tarbox and more. 3658pm.
• First Thursday on Mid Main | Thursday, September 1 – The monthly block party series returns with a night of live music, DJs, drink specials and free Saint Arnold brews on the Mid Main block off Alabama Street. Cover is $10. 6pm to 10pm.
• Kid Cudi in Concert at Toyota Center | Thursday, September 1 – The Man on the Moon rapper lands in H-Town on his first tour in five years. $39.50 and up. 7pm.
• Bad Bunny in Concert at Minute Maid Park | Thursday, September 1 & Friday, September 2 – The reggaeton rapper brings his chart-topping album Un Verano Sin Ti to the juicebox for back-to-back nights. Alesso opens the show. $125 and up, but you may find hard-to-get seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 7pm.
• Thorn & Moon Magickal Market at Raven Tower | Friday, September 2 | No Cover – On the grounds of White Oak Music Hall, this unique market features talented performers, authors, and guests that are on hand while you shop wares from local artisans that include artwork, tarot, oddities, and other goods of the mystical and occult. 6pm to 11pm.
• Asia Society Texas presents Arooj Aftab in Concert at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Friday, September 2 | FREE – Grammy Award–winning Pakistani vocalist, composer and producer Arooj Aftab performs her hauntingly beautiful music that includes styles of jazz, minimalism and neo-Sufi. 8pm.
• Tattoo & Body Art Expo at NRG Center | Friday, September 2 to Sunday, September 4 – Two hundred tattoo artists convene at NRG for a weekend of on-site tattoos and piercings, contests, live performers and more. $20 and up. Times vary.
• Mid-Autumn Festival at Asia Society Texas Center | Saturday, September 3 | FREE – Celebrate the arrival of the fall season at the Mid-Autumn Festival—also known in Asia as the Moon Festival or Lantern Festival—that welcomes the autumn harvest and full moon. The event will feature Taiwanese artists and photography, Vietnamese storytelling, and art activities that include lantern-making, paper cutting, and faux mooncakes. • Red, White & Bayou Texas Music Festival & Tailgate in Downtown Dickinson | Saturday, September 3 & Sunday, September 4 – Returning for the first time since Hurricane Harvey, the City of Dickinson’s annual music festival fills Labor Day weekend with live music, boutique markets, a cook-off competition, kids zone and more. $10 and up. • 5th Annual Taste of the Caribbean Festival at the Crown Festival Park | Sunday, September 4 – The Taste of the Caribbean Festival returns with a day celebrating delicious Caribbean food, live Caribbean music, Caribbean arts and culture, and family fun at the Sugar Land public park. $20. 2pm to 10pm.
