  • JFK Library presents the 10th Annual Presidents’ Day Family Festival Online | Monday, February 15 | FREE | Virtual Join the JFK Library for a virtual program featuring presidential storytelling, creative at-home activities, musical performances, and more to bring history to life for all ages. Participation is free and no registration is required. Videos will be available to watch following the initial broadcast through Sunday, February 28, 2021. 11am to 2pm.
  • Moody Center for the Arts reopening at Rice University | Tuesday, February 16 | FREE – The arts outpost reopens to the public after a month-long closure for installation and will unveil Artists and the Rothko Chapel: 50 Years of Inspiration, which shows the impact that the beloved Chapel has had on artists and the public since opening in 1971. 10am to 5pm.
  • 2021 ReelAbilities Houston Film & Arts Festival presents ReelPeople: UP Abilities | Tuesday, February 16 | Virtual  Get inspired during presentations from Tony Award-winner Ali Stroker and award-winning documentary filmmaker Dan Habib, who will shed light on the world of disabilities, when the 2021 ReelAbilities Houston Film & Arts Festival presents a conversation with the powerful pair and an audience Q&A following the discussion. $10. 7pm to 8:30pm.
  • Contemporary Arts Museum Houston reopening in Museum District | Thursday, February 18 | FREE – After remaining closed since March 2020, CAMH reopens its doors with the ongoing exhibition of Slowed and Throwed: Records of the City Through Mutated Lenses, which honors and examines the work of DJ Screw, and the opening of Wild Life, a joint exhibition which features works from Elizabeth Murray and Jessi Reaves. Noon to 6pm.
  • M-K-T Sunset Market in The Heights | Thursday, February 18 | FREE – Spend your early evening browsing fresh local meals and refreshments, as well as taking in live music, movie screenings, a DIY flower bar and more at the family-friendly M-K-T Sunset Market on N Shepherd. 4pm to 8pm.
  • Shenandoah and Collin Raye in Concert at Arena Theatre | Friday, February 19 – Tap your toes to the country sounds of award-winning country music band Shenandoah, when they perform a live set alongside Collin Raye at Arena Theatre near Sharpstown. $35 but you may find better or cheaper seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 7pm.
  • Comedian Bassem Youssef at Houston Improv | Friday, February 19 to Sunday, February 21 – Catch a hilarious set from comedian Bassem Youssef when he brings his brand of political satirism to the stage of Houston Improv for five socially distanced shows. $50 for two people; $100 for four people; $150 for two people. Preferred tables range from $100 to $300, based on the number of people. Showtimes vary.
  • Houston Rockets vs. Dallas Mavericks at Toyota Center | Friday, February 19 – Watch the Rockets take to home court against Luka Doncic, Kristaps Porzingis and the Dallas Mavericks at Toyota Center in Downtown. $55 to over $300, but you may find better or cheaper seats on the TicketNetwork marketplace. This game is also broadcast on ATT SportsNet-SW. 7pm.
  • Houston Symphony presents Schubert’s Death and the Maiden | Friday, February 19 and Saturday, February 20 | Virtual Option – Two-time Grammy Award-winning mezzo-soprano Sasha Cooke joins with the Houston Symphony for two evenings of performances including Mahler’s Songs of a Wayfarer and Schubert’s dramatic Death and the Maiden. Tickets start at $34, with a virtual livestream option available for the Saturday performance. 8pm both evenings.
  • 2021 ReelAbilities Houston Film & Arts Festival presents World Premiere: One Step at a Time | Saturday, February 20 | FREE | Virtual – Catch the world premiere of One Step at a Time, a documentary focused on Houstonian, NASA engineer, and blind athlete Michael McCulloch, when the 2021 ReelAbilities Houston Film & Arts Festival presents this inspiring film that will be available for viewing through Wednesday, February 24, 2021. 7:30pm to 9pm.
  • The Center for African American Military History presents A Sunday to Remember Virtual Event | Sunday, February 21 | FREE | Virtual – Learn about the experience of fighting for civil rights, military service, marches, and Bloody Sunday through the lens of Benjamin and Joe in this two-man show, held in conjunction with the Buffalo Soldiers National Museum. 1pm to 2pm.
