Cirque du Soleil: Echo at Sam Houston Race Park | Ongoing to Sunday, March 23 – The world-renowned Cirque du Soleil’s new show Echo concludes its Houston run this month. Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo at NRG Park | Tuesday, March 4 to Sunday, March 23 – The entire city is abuzz with the return of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, featuring rodeo action, live concerts, and a variety of kid-friendly fun from carnival rides and games to mutton bustin’, outrageous festival food, and educational exhibits like the petting zoo, Fun on the Farm, and Agventure, where kids and adults can learn all about agriculture. Blippi, Meekah, and live musicians will bring favorite tunes to life with fun sounds, rhythms, and instruments. Expect flashing lights, haze, and confetti. $47 and up, with a special photo experience for an extra fee. Ages 2 and up need a ticket. 2pm.

Spring Break Blast at Children’s Museum Houston | Saturday, March 8 to Sunday, March 23 The Children’s Museum Houston invites families to its annual Spring Break event, featuring daily performances and interactive activities designed to ignite kids’ passion for learning. Highlights include human hamster balls, bungee trampolines, and confetti parties, ensuring a fun-filled experience for all ages., plus daily adventures including Pi Day, Mario Brothers, and more. Theater District Open House 2025 in Downtown | Monday, March 10 | FREE For the first time since before the pandemic, the Theater District Open House is back. The free, family-friendly event invites Houstonians for exciting day of inspiration and discovery as they explore Downtown’s top theaters and arts organizations. Neon Brush Kids Edition: A Family-Friendly Art Experience at Resurrection MCC | Saturday, March 15 – Kids can let their creativity flow and watch their canvases glow in the dark while painting in a UV-lit art studio. Future dates available. Future dates available. $27 guardian ticket required; $19 for ages 4 to 17. 1:15pm and 3:30pm. 

The Big Bounce America at SaberCats Stadium | Saturday, March 15 to Sunday, March 23 Get ready for 2 weekend of an inflatable extravaganza as The Big Bounce America brings the world’s largest bounce house to SaberCats Stadium. The family-friendly extravaganza features a 24,000-square-foot bounce house, a 900-foot obstacle course, and a sports arena. $22 for ages 3 and under; $35 for ages 7 and under, $35 for ages 15 and under; $45 for adults only, with dedicated time slots for each. Times vary.

Birds, Bees & Butterflies at Houston Arboretum & Nature Center | Sunday, March 16 The family-friendly, music- and nature-filled event features an interactive musical performance by former Houston Symphony Principal Harpist Megan Conley, accompanied by violin, celebrating our winged friends. After the concert, kids can engage in activities promoting pollinator-friendly practices, plus partake in the popular instrument petting zoo, where kids are invited to try out the harp for themselves. $8 and parents must attend with their children. Guests should wear outdoor-appropriate attire and closed-toe shoes. 11am.

Bayou City Art Festival Spring at Sam Houston Park in Downtown | Saturday, March 29 to Sunday, March 30 Get ready for a creative celebration in the heart of the city. The Bayou City Art Festival Downtown transforms Houston’s streets into a vibrant outdoor gallery. Families can explore over 250 artist booths, enjoy live entertainment, and savor diverse food truck delights. Kids will love the Active Imagination Zone, packed with hands-on art activities and interactive fun for all ages. $20; $5 for kids (no ages limits are offered). 10am to 6pm both days. 

The Moonwalkers: A Journey with Tom Hanks at Space Center Houston | Daily Families can embark on an out-of-this-world adventure, with the 50-minute immersive film, narrated and co-written by Tom Hanks, bringing the excitement of lunar exploration to life. Experience real NASA mission audio, captivating interviews with Artemis II astronauts, and a mesmerizing score by Anne Nikitin, all projected in the newly renovated Space Center Theater. Included with admission—$29.95 and up; $24.95 and up for ages 4 to 11; $27.95 and up for ages 65+. Screenings run daily from 10:30am to 3:30pm.
