- Screen on the Green: The Mighty Ducks Movie Screening at Discovery Green | Thursday, January 7 | FREE – Cheer on Disney’s The Mighty Ducks from the ice rink or the lawn. The film is free to watch, $14 skating fees apply. 7pm.
- Blue Man Group at Jones Hall | Friday, January 15 through Sunday, January 17 – Get swept up in the enchanting, hilarious and impressive display of percussive and physical talents as the Blue Man Group returns to Houston. - Creation Station: Contemporary South Asian Miniatures at Asia Society Texas Center | Saturday, January 16 | FREE with RSVP – You can create a painting using centuries-old South Asian manuscript traditions and contemporary techniques. 12:30pm to 2:30pm.
- Super Saturday at the Downtown Aquarium | Saturday, January 16 – When you buy admission to the aquarium, you can get a second admission free if you print and use the coupon. $18.99 for two people with coupon. 10am to 10:30pm.
- Chevron Houston Marathon inside the Loop | Sunday, January 17 | FREE to Watch – Go cheer on the runners, or avoid the closed streets when you are out and about. Starts at 6am.

- Family Day: America at Work at Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens | Sunday, January 17 | FREE – Tour the mansion, make crafts and enjoy live entertainment. This month, kids can experience the daily chores, jobs, and industries of America from the 1600s to 1800s. 1pm to 5pm.
