Swimwear Department’s Halloween Bash at Dan Electro’s Guitar Bar | Thursday – H-Town’s own Swimwear Department headlines a Halloween show, with Austin punk band Big Bill opening the show and followed by a post-show dance party. $15. Doors at 8pm. 9pm to 2am.

Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe at the Heights Theater | Friday – Denson has electrified audiences around the world for 25 years with his fusion of jazz, funk, blues and soul. He’s appeared in Coming To America and toured with The Allman Brothers, The Roots, Widespread Panic and more. $28 and up. 8pm.
Becky G at 713 Music Hall | Friday – The Latin pop and hip hop star, who begun a career on YouTube in 2011, brings her Casa Gomez: Otro Capitulo tour to Post Houston. $55. 8pm.
ROCO: Outspoken at the Church of St. John the Divine | Saturday – The full 40-piece orchestra, led by Grammy-winning conductor JoAnn Falletta, performs two world premieres —Jonathan Leshnoff‘s No Grit No Pearl and Juan Pablo Contreras‘ Alma Monarca, which honors his family and the tradition of Día de los Muertos.
