Make the most of your month with our list of the 30+ biggest and most notable festivals and events in Greater Houston in April 2026.

You know it’s springtime in the Bayou City when nearly every day brings with it a reason to get outside and celebrate all the vibrant diversity of our city. I’m not even talking about cultural diversity—although there’s definitely a lot of that represented here. I’m talking about the difference in events from each other—the Art Car Parade (is anything more beloved in Houston?), a sake festival, an afternoon highlighting participants in the upcoming World Cup, and a beloved and acclaimed brewery pre-empts its closing with a Sunday celebration of life and space-fueled Houston joy.

Houston’s signature comedy festival is back. So is a favorite LGBTQ+ tradition. There’s more rodeo and arts festivals, birding and photography walks and a new flower celebration. And a whole lot more besides.

Get out there and enjoy April, Houston!
