April brings showers of superstars to music venues across the city, as legends of rock, pop, soul and rap headline some of the best shows arriving in Houston this month.

Week of Monday, March 28

  • Girl in Red at House of Blues | Friday, April 1 – The indie pop singer-songwriter from Norway hit the charts last year with her debut studio album, If I Could Make It Go Quiet, and will stop by Downtown’s House of Blues to play her latest songs. $28. 8pm.
  • Remember When Rock Was Young: The Elton John Tribute at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Friday, April 1 | FREE – The 100th anniversary of Miller Outdoor Theatre is launched with a free performance of Remember When Rock Was Young: The Elton John Tribute starring Craig A. Meyer, considered to be the best Elton John tribute artist performing today. Lawn seating is open to the public; covered seating requires a free ticket. 8pm.

  • Jhay Cortez on the Lawn at White Oak Music Hall | Wednesday, April 13 – The Puerto Rican reggaeton sensation brings songs from his late-2021 release, Timelezz, to the lawn at White Oak. $60 in advance; $65 day of show. 6pm.
  • Lil Durk at Bayou Music Center | Friday, April 15 – Coming off the March 2022 release of his chart-topping studio album, 7220, the Chicago rapper swings through Downtown in support. $69 and up. 8pm.
  • Maze with Frankie Beverly & the Isley Brothers at Toyota Center | Saturday, April 16 – Superheros of soul come together for a double-headlining show in Downtown, featuring hits like “Can’t Get Over You” and “It’s Your Thing.” $69.50 and up. 7:30pm.
  • OhGeesy at Warehouse Live | Sunday, April 17 – The studio at Warehouse Live hosts the rapper on the rise, OhGeesy, who stops by while on the Geezyworld U.S. Tour, joined by That Mexican OT, Young Hawaii Slim, and DJ Vision. $20 and up. 8pm.

  • Marco Antonio Solís at Smart Financial Centre | Friday, April 22 – Los Bukis founder and multiple Latin Grammy–winning musician, Marco Antonio Solís arrives in Sugar Land while on the Qué Ganas de Verte World Tour. $59.50 and up. 8pm.
  • John Mayer at Toyota Center | Saturday, April 23 – The Grammy-winning guitarist and songwriter arrives in Downtown Houston for his first tour in four years, coinciding with the summer 2021 release of Sob Rock. $50 and up. 7:30pm.
  • Jxdn at Warehouse Live | Saturday, April 23 – Rising to prominence through TikTok, the Chattanooga pop punk singer comes to Warehouse, performing songs from his debut studio album, Tell Me About Tomorrow. $30. 8pm.

Week of Monday, April 25

  • Tai Verdes at White Oak Music Hall | Monday, April 25 – After dropping his debut studio album, TV, and the gold-certified single “A-O-K” in 2021, the singer-songwriter Tai Verdes appears at the Downstairs stage at White Oak. $23 and up. 7pm.
  • Bon Jovi at Toyota Center | Tuesday, April 26 – The Rock & Roll Hall of Famers return to touring after a pandemic hiatus, bringing with it their latest album, 2020, plus other fan faves. $19.50 and up. 8pm.
  • Death Cab for Cutie at 713 Music Hall | Thursday, April 28 – The indie rock band enters their 25th year of playing, swinging through Post HTX’s music venue in Downtown to perform songs from their latest album, Thank You for Today, and other fan faves. $30 and up. 8pm.
  • Justin Bieber at Toyota Center | Friday, April 29 – Pop sensation Justin Bieber is joined by Jaden while touring his sixth studio album, Justice, which brings him through Downtown for a hotly anticipated concert. $59.50 and up. 7:30pm.
  • Snow tha Product at House of Blues | Friday, April 29 – After notching her first Latin Grammy nomination last year, the Mexican American rapper hits House of Blues on the Dale Gas Tour ahead of her forthcoming studio album, Valemadre. $25. 8pm.
  • Houston Symphony presents Mahler’s Resurrection Symphony at Jones Hall | Friday, April 29 to Sunday, May 1 | Virtual Option – In his final performances as music director for the Houston Symphony, Andrés Orozco-Estrada conducts this resplendent symphony, unmatched in all of music. Celebrate the end of an era on the Houston arts scene with a performance that showcases the orchestra at its very best. $29 and up (livestream is $20). Friday and Saturday 8pm; Sunday 2:30pm.
  • Deftones on the Lawn at White Oak Music Hall | Saturday, April 30 – The alt metal band out of Sacramento arrives at White Oak’s Lawn for a highly-anticipated show in support of their last release, Ohms. Tickets are sold out through the venue, but you may find hard-to-get seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 6pm.
  • Snoh Aalegra at Bayou Music Center | Saturday, April 30 – The Swedish singer-songwriter stops by Downtown to perform songs from her latest album, Temporary Highs in the Violet Skies. $59 and up. 8pm.
