- July 4th Block Party at Platypus Brewing | Wednesday, July 4 | No Cover – Head to the Washington Ave brewery for its second annual 4th of July party, made bigger and better with a party on Silver Street and the front parking lot. Get views of the Freedom over Texas fireworks, live music, craft beer, wine, bbq, tacos and more. The event is kid and dog-friendly. Noon to 11pm.
- Independence Day at Eight Row Flint | Wednesday, July 4 | No Cover – The Heights icehouse will be celebrating Independence Day with $4 Eureka Heights beers, $2 jello shots, and complimentary watermelon; and since 4th of July falls on a Wednesday, that means all-day happy hour. Enjoy $3 tacos, $3 beers (Eureka Heights Wicket Awesome ESB, Buffalo Bayou Sam’s Daily, Live Oak Hefeweizen, Spindletap Hopgusher IPA, Lonestar), and $5 cocktails (Old Fashioned, Margarita on the rocks, and Eight Row Mule). 2pm to midnight.
- FriYAY Rose Wine Tasting at Brennan’s of Houston | Friday, July 6 – Cool off and say “cheers” to summertime at Brennan’s second annual FriYAY Rose tasting. Guests can taste several rosé selections and enjoy light bites at this walk-around tasting. Tickets are $25 per person, plus tax and gratuity. 4pm to 7pm.
- Saint Arnold Pub Crawl in Downtown | Saturday, July 7 | No Cover – Saint A’s annual pub crawl in Downtown returns, with punch card pickup at Market Square Houston Park between 2pm and 3pm. Potential stops along the crawl include Houston Flying Saucer, Conservatory, OKRA Charity Saloon, Molly’s Pub, Shay Mcelroy’s Irish Pub, BirdDog Saint, Bovine & Barley, Little Dipper, The Nightingale Room, Christian’s Tailgate Downtown, Batanga, Frank’s Backyard, Craft Beer Cellar, Boots ‘n Shoots, and El Big Bad. The event will finish off at Market Square Houston Park once again, where those who complete the crawl will get their well-earned Saint Arnold Pub Crawl pint glass. 2pm to 7pm.
- First Anniversary at King’s BierHaus | Sunday, July 8 | No Cover – The Heights bierhaus will celebrate its first birth with drink and menu specials all-day, plus live music, giveaways (seven lucky fans will win free beer for a year) and the launch of its official Stein Club. Nosh on $5 appetizers like butcher snacks and giant beer pretzels and $15 crispy pork shank with all the proper German fixin’s, then wash it all down with $5 to $7 beers, schnapps, and whiskey. 10am to 10pm.
- Houston Halal Food Truck Festival at the plaza adjacent to Smart Financial Centre | Sunday, July 8 | No Cover – Head to the plaza adjacent to Smart Financial Centre and dig into some of the city’s finest halal street eats. The food truck and vendor lineup includes El Guajillo Food Truck, Anna’s Gourmet Greek, Mundy’s Bar B Q & Grill. Falacos, Bowled Up, Smoothie Strong, Pho-jita, The Grove Donut Truck, and Churrasco Truck Halal. 11am to 7pm.
- Feast of Saint Arnold at Saint Arnold Brewery | Sunday, July 15 – This 8th annual fundraiser and feast is a beer dinner unlike any other. Guests can feast on four courses, featuring fish, red meat, poultry and pork, all served simultaneously and family-style (as medieval knights would be served). The meal beings with hors-d’oeuvres and aperitif beers, with the beers continually flowing throughout the feast. Utensils optional. Reservations are $135 each and include food, beer, and a Saint Arnold ceramic mug. This event raises funds for the Texas Children’s Hospital’s Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center. 5pm to 8:30pm.
- Aged Wine Class at Public Services Wine & Whisky | Saturday, July 21 – Taste wines that are meant to be aged at a special Aged Wine Class hosted by the folks behind Public Services Wine & Whisky. Guests will taste favorites from California, Australia, Spain, and France alongside fresh snacks. Tickets are $65, plus tax. 2pm.
- Beefsteak Luncheon at B&B Butchers & Restaurant | Saturday, July 21 – Roll up your sleeves for the first annual Beefsteak Luncheon, based on the tradition of the Beefsteak, a formal, beef-centric banquet dating back to mid-19th century New York City, where plates, utensils, and napkins are nowhere to be found. Dine on housemade fries with truffle aioli, beef tenderloin, Parkerhouse rolls, mac and cheese balls, B&B meatballs, carpetbaggers and more. Guests can also expect live music and a silent auction and raffle. Tickets are $95 and include food, drink ticket, and a celebratory apron (to wipe your hands on). Noon to 3pm.
- The Dunlavy Chefs + Brewers: Under The Radar Brewery at The Dunlavy | Thursday, July 26 – Join The Dunlavy for the second dinner in its Chefs & Brewers Dinners series. Guests can enjoy four courses by The Dunlavy chefs paired with craft beers by Under the Radar Brewery for $75 per person. 6:30pm to 9:30pm.
- Houston Fajita Festival at HCC West Loop Campus | Saturday, July 28 | No Cover – The Houston Fajita Festival is back for its third year, celebrating Mexican culture via food, drinks and entertainment. Guests can expect a variety of fajita, a taco and jalapeño eating contest, live art walls, a photo area and kids playground, DJs and more. 1pm to 8pm.
- Beer Fest 2018 at White Oak Music Hall | Saturday, July 28 – The Greater Houston Beer Festival will feature a variety of beers, food trucks, arts and crafts, live music and more on the lawn and parking lot at White Oak Music Hall. Admission is free until 4pm; $8 all day afterward. 1pm to 10pm.
