- The Revolutionists at Main Street Theater | Daily – Don’t miss your chance to see the regional premiere of The Revolutionists – a comedy set during the French Revolution. Tickets range between $15 to $39, but you may find limited discounted tickets for $19.50. Thursday to Saturday 7:30pm; Sunday 3pm.
- True West at Studio 101 | Daily – Get tickets to see this play about two siblings reconnecting – performed by 4th Wall Theatre Company. Tickets start at $29; limited discounted $14.50 tickets available. Thursday to Saturday 7:30pm; Sunday 3pm.
- Galveston Island Shrimp Festival at The Strand | Friday to Sunday – From a 5k and parade to a gumbo cook-off, live music, a tasting and more, the Shrimp Festival has plenty to offer all weekend long. Tickets start at $12, not including ticket fees. Friday 5pm to 10pm; Saturday 9am to 6pm; Sunday 10am to 5pm.
- Houston Open Air Festival at NRG Park | Saturday and Sunday – Listen to live music, nosh on bites from local trucks and tacos from Houston Press’ Tacolandia preview event, sip on whiskey at Whiskey Row and more during this two-day festival at NRG. Tickets start at $59.50, not including ticket fees. 11am both days.

- Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion – Comedians like Dane Cook, Ali Wong, and Bobby Lee will crack up the audience during the Oddball Comedy and Curiosity Festival at this outdoor venue in The Woodlands. - Come to the Table at The Beacon – Join 10 Houston chefs for a four-course meal with wine pairings, music, and a live auction during The Beacon’s largest fundraiser of the year. Tickets start at $500, not including ticket fees. 6pm.
- Spiked by the Scoop at CityCentre – Nosh on alcoholic frozen desserts during this boozy event hosted by Yellow Rose Distillery. $35. 6:30pm.
- The Bronze Gold Speakeasy at Prohibition Supperclub & Bar – Head to the Prohibition Theater for this variety show featuring everything from a live band and comedian to an aerial artist and a juggler. $20; limited discounted $10 tickets available. 7pm.
- Mingo Fishtrap in Concert at Discovery Green | FREE – Jam to music from Mingo Fishtrap and opening act The Nightowls during this free concert at Discovery Green. Blankets, chairs, and picnics are welcome. 7pm to 10pm.
- Beyoncé in Concert at NRG Stadium – See Beyoncé in her element up on stage at NRG. The World Formation Tour is making a second stop in Queen Bey’s hometown of Houston before it comes to a close in October. - Whistle Down the Wind at Queensbury Theatre – See this musical adaptation of the book Whistle Down the Wind – which follows three siblings – at Queensbury Theatre. $40; limited discounted $20 tickets available. 7:30pm.
- Old 97’s in Concert at White Oak Music Hall – Old 97′s draw inspiration from a broad range of genres, including the twangy stomp of cowpunk and the melodies of power pop. - Jazz Evening at the Russian Cultural Center – Local opera singer, Mikhail Smigelski and pianist, Anna Smigelskaya will share the stage for a duet jazz performance at the Russian Cultural Center. Tickets are $20. 7:30pm to 9pm.
