  • Farmer’s Market Bike Ride Starting at Onion Creek | FREE – Cycle through Houston with Bayou City Outdoors stopping at Farmer’s Markets to shop along the way. This ride is for all levels of riders and is about 12 to 15 miles long, beginning and ending at Onion Creek in the Heights. 8am to noon.
  • Blissful Warrior Yoga | FREE – Roll out your yoga mat at Discovery Green for this free yoga class that incorporates techniques found in tai chi and kung fu. 9am to 10am.
  • Professional Car Show at the National Museum of Funeral History | FREE to Attend – Check out unique automobiles that range from vintage flower cars and funeral hearses to a rare 1965 Cadillac ambulance-funeral coach combination vehicle and a FDNY fire engine used for rescue and recovery during 9/11. 10am to 4pm.
  • Houston Pet Expo at the Pasadena Convention Center | FREE to Attend – Bring your furry companion to the Houston Pet Expo for activities, vendors, demonstrations and more. Get discounted vaccinations and nail trims for your pet and check out adoptable animals from local rescue groups. 10am to 6pm.
  • Texas Black Expo at George R. Brown Convention Center | FREE – Enjoy workshops, art exhibitions, seminars, demos and more from businesses in the African-American community during this expo at the convention center. Don’t miss Diva Dialogue where you’ll hear from female panelists including radio host Angela Yee, Necole Bitchie and more. After the expo, walk across the street to Discovery Green for an R&B concert from Keith Sweat and Chante Moore that begins at 6pm. 10am to 6pm.
  • Jurassic Extreme at CityCentre | FREE – Pay a visit to Rocket – a 7 foot tall Tyrannosaurus Rex – who will make an appearance at CityCentre with his handler to talk about prehistoric times and dinosaurs. 11am to 1pm.
  • Excalibur at The Company OnStage Theater – Watch as Merlin tells the tale of how Arthur became one of the most celebrated Kings in Excalibur performed by The Company OnStage Theater. $10; limited discounted $5 tickets available. 11am and 1:30pm.
  • World Refugee Day at the University of St. Thomas | FREE – Celebrate the many refugees who now call Houston home with educational activities and cultural performances for the whole family at World Refugee Day. 1pm to 4pm.
  • Blues Workshop at Salrica Dance Studio – Learn a thing or two during this blues dance workshop at Salrica Dance Studio. $45 in advance; $50 at the door. 1:15pm to 5:30pm.
  • Praia Urbana 2015 at Last Concert Café – Groove and dance to international electronic beats, led by headliner Green Velvet at the all-day EDM fest. 2pm to 11pm.
  • Major League Lacrosse Fan Fest Outside of BBVA Compass Stadium | FREE to attend – Gear up for the first-ever MLL event held in Houston with activities, a beer garden, live entertainment and more. Limited discounted $16 tickets available. 3pm to 6pm.
  • Festival del Sabor! at Jones Plaza – Celebrate Latin culture, music, food and dance at Festival del Sabor in downtown Houston. Headliners Michelle Brava, Isis ‘The Voice’, Yamilka and Yoko ‘La Japonesa Salsera’ will take the stage to provide entertainment throughout the festival. Tickets start at $10. 3pm to 10pm.
  • Boom Bash at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion – Get down with Kings of the Mic including LL Cool J, Doug E. Fresh, DJ Z-Trip and many more during this hip-hop concert in The Woodlands. Tickets start at $32.50. 4:30pm.
  • Major League LaCrosse All-Star Game at BBVA Compass Stadium – Houston hosts the a MLL event for the first time ever, with star players from across the country coming together for an exhibition game. Tickets start at $20. You may find cheaper or better seats on the TicketNetwork resale market. 6pm kickoff.
  • Canvas Art Show at Ladybird’s | FREE – Enjoying complimentary wine and cheese while checking out the works of 11 Houston artists and listening to music from Brotha Jibril. Art will be available for sale. 7pm to 10pm.
  • William Fitzsimmons in Concert at Fitzgerald’s – Hear from indie folk singer William Fitzsimmons and opening act Denison Witmer perform downstairs at Fitzgerald’s. $15. 7pm.
  • Justin Timberlake Sing-Along and Dance Party at Alamo Drafthouse Mason Park – Sing along to Justin Timberlake songs from his NSYNC days to his 20/20 Experience at Alamo Drafthouse. They’ll be playing hits from throughout his career during this dance party, so be prepared to Rock Your Body. $9. 7:30pm.
  • Yuri in Concert at Arena Theatre – Hear from award winning Mexican singer Yuri during this performance at Arena Theatre. Tickets start at $39.50; limited discounted $36 tickets available. 8:30pm.
  • Panda Funk in Concert at Stereo Live – See a live performance from the extremely talented young producer Deorro – otherwise known as Panda Funk – at Stereo Live. $40; $50 VIP. 9pm.
  • Seize the Beats’ Live DJ Sets at Alley Kat Bar & Lounge – Dance and groove to underground disco, synthpop, and EDM music at the Mid-Main mainstay. 9pm.

  • The Man with the Golden Arm Screening at MFAH – Catch a screening celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the film The Man with the Golden Arm starring Frank Sinatra at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. $9; $7 for members and seniors. 5pm to 7pm.
  • An Evening with Travis Tritt at The Grand – Make your way to Galveston to see Grammy and CMA Award-winning country singer Travis Tritt live at The Grand 7894 Opera House. He’ll have you singing It’s a Great Day to Be Alive. Tickets start at $35. 7pm.
  • Marcus Miller Band in Concert at House of Blues – Jazz composer and instrumentalist Marcus Miller comes to Houston to take the House of Blues stage for a live concert. $35 to $45. 7:30pm.
  • Game of Thrones Season Five Finale Viewing at The Phoenix on Westheimer – Catch the final episode of 2015 with a band of true fans at the popular Montrose pub. 8pm.
