Opening Weekend Series: Houston Astros vs. New York Mets at Daikin Park | Thursday to Saturday – Celebrate the start of the 2025 season with 1 or 3 of the games in the opening series. Thursday ticket holders can also enjoy the free Opening Day Street Fest. $24 and up for single games. Times vary.

Texas Children’s Houston Open at Memorial Park Golf Course | Daily – Walk around the course, follow your favorite golfer, or pick a spot and enjoy all the action at this professional tournament. $50 and up. Times vary.

Final Weekend of Star Sailor in the Heights | Daily | Closes Permanently Sunday – The Heights’ LGBT+ friendly eatery and bar, proud of welcoming all, is closing its doors for good after Sunday. Times vary.

Zoppé Family Italian Circus on Stewart Beach | Daily | Final Weekend – Be part of an intimate, 500-seat experience as Nino the clown hosts this one-ring circus featuring acrobatic feats, equestrian showmanship, canine capers, clowning and plenty of audience participation. $28 and up. Times vary.

Lone Star Luau at Margaritaville Lake Resort | Thursday to Saturday – Jimmy Buffett vibes meet laid-back country sounds at a 3-day music festival on Lake Conroe. $225 and up. Times vary.

Comedian JP Sears at Punch Line Houston | Friday & Saturday – The comedian, known for his parodies of lifestyle gurus, wellness coaches, and government policies, comes to Houston for a live show. $38 and up. Times vary.

Bernie Taupin: Reflections & The Sixties at Off the Wall Gallery | Friday & Saturday | FREE – The famed lyricist, author and artist showcases his multimedia work, reflecting on 50 years of collaboration with Elton John and an eye toward social and cultural movements. Registration RSVP required to meet the artist. 5pm to 7pm both nights.

Live at the Founders Club: An Evening With Sally Mayes at the Hobby Center | Friday & Saturday – Experience a Broadway veteran at the top of her game. $58 and up. 7:30pm.

Tomball German Heritage Festival in Old Town Tomball | Friday to Sunday | FREE – The annual family-friendly German Fest fills the streets with 200+ vendors rocking antiques, arts and crafts, cultural music, street performances, a heritage center, and tasty German fare and festival eats, and beer and wine. Times vary.

Memoriam at Main Street Theater | Opens Saturday – In a near-future world where customers can rent memories and experience them fully, even feeling the sensations the original memory-holder felt, in a world premiere exploring who actually owns a memory. Preview performances on Thursday, March 27 and Friday, March 29. $40 and up. Showtimes vary.

The Empire Strips Back: A Burlesque Parody at Silver Street Studios | Daily | Closes Sunday – The age 18+ parody drops classic Star Wars characters into the world of burlesque—scantily clad and seriously sultry. $54 and up. Showtimes vary.

Drunk Shakespeare at the Emerald Theatre | Daily | Ongoing – Five fearless actors take on a Shakespearian classic after downing several shots of assorted liquors, sending the show in unexpected directions. $29 and up. Future dates available. Showtimes vary.

Hats in the Park at Hermann Park – Celebrate spring at Hermann Park Conservancy’s annual luncheon complete with—you got it—big springtime chapeaus. $500. 11am.

Rainbow Nature Hunt at Children’s Museum Houston – Kids will collect nature objects representing each color of the rainbow in an adventure combining science, fun, and the great outdoors. Included with $19.95 admission.  3pm, 5pm, and 7pm.

Astros Opening Day & Opening Day Street Fest: Houston Astros vs. New York Mets at Daikin Park – Before you watch the ‘Stros fend off the Mets, join in the hype with live music, face painting, food trucks, inflatables, photo booths, giveaways, and more. $49 and up includes access to the pregame Opening Day Street Fest. Festival starts at noon; game 3:10pm.

Whiskey Night at Kazzan Ramen & Bar – The popular Heights destination, known for its Osaka-derived volcano ramen bowls, features a special offer where guests can choose a flight of 4 Japanese whiskeys and get a free bartender’s choice shot to boot. Flights are $23 and up. 6pm to 9pm.

Heavy Burden of Love Opening Reception at Sabine Street Studios | FREE See Chris Pinon’s exhibit dedicated to the “love lock” bridges of Houston, featuring photographs related to couples and romance with an installation recreating a love lock fence. 6pm to 9pm.

Cy Twombly Talk at The Menil Drawing Institute | FREE – Charles “Mark” Haxthausen, the Robert Sterling Clark professor of art history emeritus at Williams College, will speak about American artist Cy Twombly’s unique engagement with the concept of time. 7pm.

Fana Hues in Concert at House of Blues – The American R&B singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist comes to Houston as part of the Matters of the Heart Tour. $12 and up. 7pm.

Comedian Martin Moreno at Improv Houston – Highlighting growing up in the 1980s and how life’s curveballs helped instill a unique perspective on love and connections to others, the crass and ballsy comic takes the Improv stage for a single show. $50 and up. 7:30pm.

Sounds of Scotland at Smart Financial Centre – Immerse yourself in an extraordinary celebration of Scottish heritage with a performance featuring bagpipers, drummers, and dancers. $60 and up. 7:30pm.

Rema in Concert at 713 Music Hall – The Nigerian singer and rapper who came to prominence in 2019 with his song “Dumebi” brings his Heis tour to Houston. $59 and up. 8pm.

Drew & Ellie Holcomb at The Heights Theater – The husband-and-wife duo, with a combined one billion streams between them, come to Houston as part of the Memory Bank Tour. $39 and up. 8pm. 

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Movie Screening at Trebly Park | FREE – Pick up some delicious takeout from a local spot, lay out your lawn blanket and enjoy a screening of Marvel’s 2022 sequel (PG-13) to Black Panther. 8pm.

DJ Night at Post Houston – The Berlin-based artist LSDXOXO, synonymous with the new wave of techno artists reclaiming Black queer spaces, spins an evening of Baltimore club, ghetto house, hardcore, electro and techno tunes. $25 and up. 10pm to 3am.

Happy Hour at the Rink at Discovery Green – Grab your pals and head downtown to Houston’s only outdoor roller rink, where happy hour means $2 off regular skate fees. $12. 5pm to 7pm.

Yappy Hour at Trebly Park | FREE – Bring your fur babies to the Downtown park for music, dog treats and pet portraits, along with free doggie goodies like bandanas, treats, and waste bags. Future dates available. 5pm to 7pm.

Ghost Tours of the Grand Galvez – Head to Galveston where you’ll join in on a guided walk to explore the haunted history of this beachfront jewel of a hotel. $30. 6pm.

Turkish Lamp Workshop at Clay Cup Studios – The Galveston art space hosts this DIY workshop where you’ll use glass tiles and colorful beads to craft your own masterpiece. All materials provided. $75. 6pm.

Singles Mixology Lab at William Price Distilling Company – Ages 28 to 45 are welcome to take part in this hands-on event where you’ll craft classic cocktails and maybe meet your someone special. $100. 6:30pm.

Emmanuel in Concert at Arena Theatre – “The King of Latin Pop,” known for hits like “Toda la Vida,” and “Bella Señora,”comes to Houston for a live concert. 7pm.

She Shines Night: Houston Dash vs. Gotham FC at Shell Energy Stadium – Catch 90 minutes of soccer action as Houston’s women’s team welcomes visitors from the Big Apple and New Jersey, while celebrating incredible women who inspire Houston on and off the pitch. $21 and up. 7pm.

Houston Jewish Film Festival: Friday Night Lights at Maggiano’s Little Italy – At this event sponsored in memory of Suan Farb Morris, you’ll experience a 3-course Shabbat dinner, along with a screening of In the Garden of Tulips about a Persian-Jewish teen smuggled out of Iran and The Last Cowboy in Salford about a Jewish boy in Manchester, England, convinced he’s a cowboy. $65. 7pm.

Performing Arts Houston: Piano Battle at Jones Hall – Internationally acclaimed pianists Andreas Kern and Paul Cibis go head-to-head to win the hearts of the audience in this fun, rivalry-fueled classical concert. $29 and up. 7:30pm.

A Taste of Ireland at Stafford Centre – Enjoy an evening of Irish song and dance in this incredible Celtic celebration that brings the Emerald Isle’s beloved traditions to a new generation with excitement and a modern twist. $29 and up. 7:30pm.

Blackberry Smoke in Concert  at 713 Music Hall – The Georgia-based Americana rock and roll act comes to Houston on the band’s Rattle, Ramble and Roll tour. $31 and up. 8pm.

DaCamera: Jason Moran’s Duke Ellington: My Heart Sings at the Wortham Center – Experience the timeless genius of Ellington’s music, brilliantly reimagined by pianist Jason Moran, in this extraordinary celebration of the composer’s enduring legacy. $51 and up. 8pm. 

Comedian Jimmy O. Yang at Smart Financial Centre – The comedian and actor best known for SIlicon Valley, Crazy Rich Asians and Space Force brings the Big and Tall Tour to the Sugar Land venue. $71 and up. 8pm.

Open Dance Project: The Wonderful Wizard of Oz at Miller Outdoor Theatre | FREE – For its opening performance of Miller’s 102nd season, the innovative Open Dance Project brings its creative spin to L. Frank Baum’s classic story of Dorothy, who finds herself in a magical land and no way to get home. 8pm.

Dueling Pianos Show at Home Run Dugout | No Cover – Show up with your song requests ready as Joilux Band returns to the outdoor Katy stage for a night of live music and laughs. 8pm to 11pm.

Mayhem: A Lady Gaga Party at Barbarella – “Little Monsters” can dance all night to the pop icon’s catalogue, from The Fame to Mayhem. $13. 9:30pm to 3am.

The Well Live Set at Dan Electro’s – The Austin-based band brings its heavy psych rock/proto-metal power and blend of knotty prog, punk, and bluesy doom rock to the Bayou City. $20. 10pm.

Friday Burlesque Show at Social Beer Garden | FREE – Talented performers show off seductive moves and stunning costumes in this evening of  glamour, entertainment, and excitement. 11pm.
