- Final Days of Magritte Exhibit at the Menil Collection | FREE | Daily – See the Menil’s exhibit Memories of a Voyage: The Late Work of René Magritte for the first or final time. The exhibit will close after Sunday, July 13.
- David Mamet’s Oleanna at Queensbury Theatre | Thursday through Saturday – See a provocative, unpredictable and occasionally disturbing exploration of sexual politics in academia at this production a classic work from David Mamet. 8pm nightly.
- Sealybration | Friday through Sunday – Join in a weekend of live country and zydeco music. All ages will enjoy the carnival, BBQ cook-off, parade, car show, tractor show, beanbag tournament, chicken poop bingo, 5K/1K fun runs and more.
- Brooklyn Musical at the Kaleidoscope Theater– Powerhouse 14-year-old vocalist Mallory Bechtel stars in this modern-day “sidewalk fairy tale” with a soul, R&B and pop-rock score. 8pm both nights.
- Big Tex BBQ Fest | Friday and Saturday – Enjoy live music, good old fashioned Texas barbecue and summer brews at this festival in Pasadena.
- High Standards Musical Cabaret at Music Box Theater | Friday and Saturday – Hear the tunes of George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Frank Sinatra and other heroes of ragtime, jazz and swing in this lively cabaret mixing live comedy with soulful singing. $27; discounted tickets start at $13.50. Performance times vary.
- Pippi Longstocking: The Family Musical at Main Street Theater | Saturday and Sunday – Enjoy the good-natured hijinks of Pippi Longstocking as she gets into as much trouble as fun in this upbeat, slapstick musical for the whole family. Recommended for Kindergarten and up. Tickets start at $13. 2pm and 5pm; 10am matinees for select audiences.
