Radiant Nature at Houston Botanic Garden | Daily – Now in its second year, the glowing Lunar New Year-themed Chinese lantern fest features towering ginkgo and pine trees, a majestic Chinese temple, a geometric dome, pandas and more. $28.50; free for ages 3 and under. Times vary by date and sunset.
Shabach Enterprises: Fade to Black Reading Series at MATCH | Daily – Experience new plays at Houston’s first and only short play festival to showcase the new works of Black playwrights.$30 and up. Showtimes vary.
Comedian Lucas Zelnick at Punch Line Houston | Thursday to Saturday – Hailing from NYC and holding an MBA from Stanford, Zelnick challenges his cushy upbringing with punch-heavy material, which has attracted hundreds of thousands of views on Instagram and TikTok in a short time. $32 and up; 2 drink minimum. Comedian Steven Ho at the Houston Improv | Friday & Saturday – The hilarious mastermind behind the “Tips from the ER” series brings his “Is It Emergency” show to Houston for three performances across two nights. $120 and up for a table of 4. Times vary.
Gary Vider at The Riot Comedy Club | Friday & Saturday – Vider’s subtle humor and dry style brought him up the ranks of America’s Got Talent, earned him spots on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and Conan, and slayed audiences across North America. $25 and up; 2 drink minimum. Times vary.
Ishida Dance Company: As Long As There Is In Me at the Hobby Center | Friday & Saturday – Featuring dancers from across Europe and North America, the show includes the company-created world premiere Soul-Writer. $38 and up. 7pm.
