• The Chevron Championship at the Club at Carlton Woods | Daily – Head to the Woodlands to see some of the best female golfers on the links. The first major event of the LPGA season makes a great opportunity to catch the action and check out additional experiences like food and wine, interactive displays, merch and more. $25 and up. • 22nd Annual FeatherFest Birding & Nature Photography Festival | Daily – FeatherFest is a fun four days of excellent birding and nature photography field trips. Serious and aspiring watchers and photographers, lovers of the outdoors, and those curious to learn more about birds are all welcome. Registration is $25; activities range from free to a separate fee. Times vary.
• TUTS presents The Cher Show at Hobby Center | Daily | Ongoing – Called “slyly fabulous” by the Hollywood Reporter, this show examines the life of the incomparable Cher, who’s dominated music, movies and more across her six-decade career. Bonus: every one of those iconic Bob Mackie outfits are recreated for the stage. $40 and up. Showtimes vary.
• Houston Symphony presents Classical Mystery Tour: A Tribute to the Beatles at Jones Hall | Thursday & Friday – Hear more than two dozen of the Beatles’ greatest hits, transcribed note-for-note and performed as originally recorded, with four musicians who look and sound just like the original Fab Four. Expect “Penny Lane” with a live trumpet section, “Yesterday” with acoustic guitar and string quartet, and more. $55 and up. 7:30pm.
• Tay Butler: A Friendly Game of Basketball at Lawndale Art Center | Thursday to Saturday | Ongoing | FREE – This solo multi-media exhibition presents Butler’s research of, and art engagement with, basketball’s racial history and contemporary anti-Black issues. Through installation, painting, drawing, photography, collage, music and performance, Butler creates a multi-sensory environment which mirrors basketball’s pre-, post- and in-game play. 11am to 5pm.
• Mercury presents Boleros: Songs from Latin America at Multiple Locations | Thursday, Saturday & Sunday – Part of the ConocoPhillips Neighborhood Series, the ensemble heads to locations across Houston with a program that features singer Cecilia Duarte performing Latin American romantic songs from the 20th century. Stops include MATCH on Thursday, MFAH on Saturday, and Dosey Doe in the Woodlands on Sunday. $20 and up. Times vary.
• Houston Art Gallery Associations’ Spring Celebration & Open Galleries at Multiple Locations | Friday & Saturday | FREE – For two days, visitors can explore 16 member galleries of the Houston Art Gallery Association, touring curated artworks and exploring distinct facets of contemporary art across the city. Noon to 5pm.
• Comedian Anthony DeVito at the Riot Comedy Club | Friday & Saturday – With appearances on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and Comedy Central Stand Up Presents, the New Jersey native blends New York City club-style comedy with storytelling and punchy standup. He’s in Houston for three shows across back-to-back nights. $20 and up. Times vary.
• The Garden Theatre presents Reefer Madness at MATCH | Friday to Sunday | Ongoing – With lyrics by Kevin Murphy and music by Dan Studney, this musical is based on the 1936 exploitation film, originally titled Tell Your Children. It follows the exploits of a high school drama group telling the story of Jimmy, a fine and upstanding All-American boy whose life fell apart because of the evil reefer. Expect satire and hilarity. And yes, of course, there are performances on 4/20. $28. Showtimes vary.
• Houston Grand Opera presents Don Giovanni at Wortham Center | Friday & Sunday – Mozart’s epic story of an arrogant Spanish womanizer and his descent into hell comes to life on the Wortham Center stage, with charismatic Italian bass-baritone Luca Pisaroni, an international superstar, in the title role. $25 and up. Friday 7:30pm; Sunday 2pm.

But then the body of a priest turns up in the Mississippi River, and Sister and Magnolia Riveaux set out to solve it. Free to attend; books for signing must be purchased from the store. 6:30pm. 
• Spectrum Fusion presents Sip & Support: Tequila Tasting for a Good Cause at Chancellors Center – In honor of Autism Awareness Month, come out and support this fundraiser, where you can enjoy pairings of Mexican-inspired dishes with premium, artisanal spirits and tequilas. $100 and up. 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
• Studio Menil presents Alphabet Soup at Richmond Hall – This creatively themed, annual spring party includes colorful cocktails, amusing hors d’oeuvres and an artfully presented seated dinner, all accompanied by live music. • Disney’s WALL-E at Trebly Park | FREE – Grab a blanket or lawn chair, gather the family and friends, and come out to this Downtown park for a screening of the Pixar film, WALL-E. On an abandoned Earth, a determined robot continues his waste-collecting work. But then he embarks on a journey that could change the future of mankind. 8pm.
• The Tortured Poets Department Listening Party at McIntyre’s Downtown – DJs will play the entirety of Taylor Swift’s new record alongside the rest of her discography and some other pop bangers. Expect tasty Taylor-inspired cocktails and performances from favorite local drag queens. Dressing up and sharing friendship bracelets are highly encouraged. $17. 9pm.
• Bigfoot Rave at Warehouse Live Midtown – Come dressed as a bigfoot, fairy, alien or whatever else you believe in at this costume-themed dance party in Midtown. $15. 9pm.
• Girls on Deck at Bauhaus – Come out and show your love for some girl power as a slate of all-female DJs showcase their house and techno talents. There will be music in the lounge and on the patio, with Danielle Simeon, Madison Parks, Honey T, Leilani and more providing the tunes all night long. $15. 10pm.
