Mother’s Day Mother-Daughter Yoga at the ERJCC | Thursday, May 8 – Moms and daughters are invited to share the experience of creative movement in a class for ages 8 and up. $5. 7pm.

Houston Latin American Philharmonic: Mother’s Day Serenade at The Hobby Center | Friday, May 9 – The Houston Latin American Philharmonic returns with its annual concert performing a Mother’s Day program of Spanish-language songs like “Costumbres”, “Amor Eterno”, and “Besos en mis Sueños” joined by special guests. $30 and up. 8pm.

Mother’s Day Photo-op at Market Street | Friday, May 9 to Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 11 | FREE – Bring mom to The Woodlands’ upscale Market Street to snap some memorable photos in front of Mother’s Day themed backdrops. Times vary.

Flow & Fun: A Totally Rad ’90s Mother’s Day Yoga Class at Houston Toy Museum | Saturday, May 10 – Yogi Colleen Baker leads a 1-hour class, followed  by complimentary mimosas, along with all day admission to the museum, and shopping along historic 19th Street in The Heights. $15. 9am.

Sunshine Center Mother’s Day Market at McGuire-Dent Recreation Center | Saturday, May 10 | FREE – Shop for the moms in your life, and yourself, at this pop-up vendor market overlooking the Galveston beach. 9am to 3pm.

Mother’s Day Market at Heights Mercantile | Saturday, May 10 | FREE – Find the perfect gift with a huge variety of vendors offering unique products at the annual all-day outdoor market on the promenade in the heart of the Heights. 10am to 3pm.

Victorian Mother’s Day Tea at The George Ranch | Saturday, May 10 – Put on your best duds—including ascots and fascinators—for a Victorian occasion highlighting fashion, etiquette and literature paired with traditional tea and cakes. $20; $15 for ages 5 to 18; free ages 4 and under. Seatings at 11am and 2:30pm. 

It’s A Bling Thing: Mother’s Day Sneaker Brunch at The Heights Villa | Saturday, May 10 – Celebrate the mothers in your life at a sneaker brunch that includes creative workshops, luxury pampering stations, a flower bar, and a fashion show in the Heights. $40. 11am.

Mother’s Day Market at Stomping Grounds | Saturday, May 10 | FREE – Discover handcrafted jewelry, artisanal candles, bespoke home decor, and more gifts for the moms in your life. 11am to 4pm.

Mother’s Day Special Flower Arrangement Class at Chinese Community Center | Saturday, May 10 Learn the art of freestyle floral design, drawing on the Japanese art of arranging flowers (Ikebana), and more at a hands-on flower arranging workshop, part of the CCC’s Celebrate Asian Heritage programming. $50. 2pm.

Bach Society Houston: Solo Cantatas: Renée Rybolt & Drew Santini at Christ the King Lutheran Church | Saturday, May 10 – Treat mom to performances by Houston-based soprano Rybolt and internationally acclaimed baritone Santini as they sing 3 of Bach’s most beloved vocal works in a soaring acoustic space. Pay What You Wish. 3pm.

Mothers Day Sugar Cookie Decorating Class at Beans & Brews Coffee House | Saturday, May 10 – Learn the basics of sugar cookies including a royal icing and cookie recipe, and the best practices for decorating them in a 2-hour class. $75. 3pm.

Candles & Cocktails: A Curated Candle Making Experience at Lyric Market | Saturday, May 10 – Twilight Candle Company hosts an elevated, interactive 2-hour candle-making experience, accompanied with cocktails, focused on scent, sophistication, and connection. $45. 4pm.

We Love Mom: A Mother’s Day Market at Sugar Land Town Square | Saturday, May 10 & Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 11 | FREE – Enjoy a 2-day market experience with curated shopping, a live DJ, photo ops, and more. 11am to 4pm.

Mother’s Day Weekend at Bayou Bend Collections & Gardens | Saturday, May 10 & Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 11 – Bayou Bend off of Memorial Drive welcomes moms to be surrounded by the museum’s beautiful grounds, while enjoying art, live harp music, cookies and lemonade. $12.50; free for moms and ages 12 and under. 1pm to 5pm both days.

2nd Annual Mother’s Day Nature Walk & Wellness Day at Shadow Creek Nature Trail Returning for its second year, the all ages walk offers families and participants a unique way to explore nature and create memories, with hands on activities, entertainment, live music, professional photo opps, and more throughout the trail. $20; $10 for ages 60+ and students; free for ages 12 and under. 9am to 2pm.

Beyond Bouquets Festival at Houston Botanic Garden – The spring festival features a mid-day concert from Yelba’s Variety Band, a family fun zone, a market, and more. $20; $16 for ages 65+, active military, students, and ages 3 to 15. 9am to 4pm.

Mother’s Day Champagne Brunch at the 1859 Ashton Villa – Dine inside the gorgeous and historic Galveston mansion, accompanied by live music and a special gift for moms. An optional add-on also includes the 51st annual Galveston Historic Homes Tour, which ends on the same day. $90+; $60 ages 12 and under. 10am.

3rd Annual Springtime in Paris: Mother’s Day Brunch at The Post Oak Hotel Celebrate the moms in your life with an interactive brunch experience at a local rendition of Rue Cler, a Parisian street market. Wander through beautifully curated stations, inspired by the flavors and traditions of the French market. $204; $90 for age 5 to 12; free for ages 4 and under. 10am to 4pm.

Mother’s Day Sound Bath with Shawn Porche at Hotel Lucine – Experience the soothing sounds of crystal singing bowls in the courtyard at Galveston’s beachfront boutique hotel, to leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. $20. 11am.

Mother’s Day at Kemah Boardwalk | FREE – Families can honor mothers in Kemah with crafts, live music, a raffle and $5 off for all day ride passes for mothers. 1pm to 4pm.

DIY Pollinator Container Garden at Houston Arboretum & Nature Center – Grab your garden gloves and apron as you work together with a mom or friend to create your own cheerful, spring-themed native plant container garden. Ages 5 and up. $65; $45 members. 2pm.

Salsa con Mama: A Dance Celebration for Mother’s Day at Ivy Bar & Bistro – Latin Dance Factory hosts a playful salsa dance workshop full of dips, turns, and joyful moves for Mother’s Day in Uptown. $24 women; $34 men; $49 pairs. 2:30pm to 4:30pm.

Mother’s Day: Ponies & Petals Cup at Houston Polo Club – Don your finest for a special 12-goal match complete with a ladies best hat contest, player parade, live music, expert announcing, Champagne divot stomp at halftime, and special trophy presentation. $18+. 5pm.

Mother’s Day Dinner: Avatars of Maa at Musaafer – Treat your favorite mom to a Michelin starred, specially curated 4-course lunch or 6-course dinner at the high-concept Indian eatery at the Galleria. Reservations strongly recommended. Lunch is $95, with seatings from noon to 2:30pm. Dinner is $130, with seatings from 5:15pm to 8pm.
