It’s that time of year to throw on your Sunday’s best and get ready for all the springtime activities that Easter has to offer.

Things to Do Before Easter Weekend in Houston

Saturday, April 5, 2025

Black Rose Market: Easter Edition at La Vita Coffee | No Cover – Prep for Easter and springtime with jewelry, bath products, knickknacks, and treats, at a special market pop-up on Washington Avenue. 10am to 3pm.

6th Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Eldridge Park – Join egg hunts for kids and adults, with an Easter Bunny appearance, lunch, silent auction and more. $20; $10 ages 4 to 15; free ages 3 and under. 11am.

Saturday, April 12 & Palm Sunday, April 13, 2025

Easter Spring Festival at West University Recreation Center | FREE – On Bellaire Boulevard, this spring fest features a visit from the Easter Bunny along with bounce houses, a giant slide, mini-train rides, face painting and more. 9am to 11am.

14th Annual Easter Seals Walk With Me at Houston Zoo – Walk, roll, or stroll through the zoo while raising crucial funds for programs that serve veterans, service members, children and adult with all types of disabilities and their families. An afterparty features kids’ activities, music, food, drinks, and more. $50 minimum donation includes zoo admission; free ages 10 and under. 8am to 10:30am.

Community Easter Egg Hunt at Lone Star College-Tomball | FREE with RSVP The Tomball college hosts an Easter event complete with colorful eggs, snacks, music, games, activities, and a visit from the Easter Bunny. 11am to 1pm.

3rd Annual Spring Fest at Houston’s First Baptist Church | FREE – The Downtown campus hosts a glow-in-the-dark Easter egg hunt for kids in preschool through 5th grade, rides on a trackless train, inflatables, face-painting, a video game truck, pickleball, basketball, dodgeball games for all ages, and more. 11am to 2pm.

Easter Celebration Event at Cole’s Flea Market | FREE – The Pearland flea market hosts an Easter afternoon of family fun with a candy hunt, Easter Bunny photos, and giveaways. 11am to 2pm.

12th Lyons Avenue Renaissance Festival in Fifth Ward | FREE – The family-friendly festival celebrating Fifth Ward’s the history, art and culture will include an Easter egg drop by helicopter, where kiddos can scramble for tens of thousands of goodie-filled eggs. Also expect authentic zydeco music, soul food, Creole cuisine, and barbecue. Noon to 5pm.

Easter Egg Market at Factory HTX | FREE – The pop-up market, with 25 local vendors and artists selling goods like handmade Easter cookies and Easter planters, hosts 2 eggs hunts during the day. Market noon to 6pm; egg hunts 2pm and 4pm.

Easter Egg Hunt at Kempner Park | FREE – Join an Easter celebration in Galveston with games, face painting, rock painting, an exciting Easter egg hunt, and photos with the Easter Bunny. 3pm to 6pm.

Easter After Dark at Westminster United Methodist Church | FREE – This popular all-ages flashlight egg hunt in the dark is complemented by music, entertainment, food trucks and more. Egg hunts are broken out by age group. Bring your own flashlight. Registration requested. 6:30pm to 8pm.

Easter Fest at P-6 Farms | Saturday, April 12 & Sunday, April 13 – The Montgomery farm hosts the first of its 2 Easter celebrations of the season with vintage amusement rides, fun farm attractions, and photos with the Easter Bunny. $10.95+. 10am to 5pm.

Bach Society Houston: Bach’s Palm Sunday Cantata at Christ the King Lutheran Church | Sunday, April 13 | FREE – Bach Society Houston presents the first of 2 Holy Week concerts with a performance of the joyful and rarely performed Himmelskönig, sei willkommen,  one of Bach’s earliest sacred works, originally composed for Palm Sunday. Free; $35 donation at the door accepted. 3pm.

Bach Society Houston: Erickson’s St. John Passion at Christ the King Lutheran Church | Good Friday, April 18 | FREE – Bach Society Houston closes its Holy Week duo with a moving performance of St. John Passion, featuring the Bach Society Houston Orchestra and Choir and Christ the King Choir. Free; $35 donation at the door accepted. 3pm.

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny at Moody Gardens | Good Friday, April 18 & Saturday, April 19 – Pull up a seat with the Easter Bunny at the annual Galveston breakfast that comes with a train ride, animal presentation, and a special souvenir photo. $42; $28 ages 2 to 12. Times vary.

Easter Fest at P-6 Farms | Good Friday, April 18 & Saturday, April 19 – The Montgomery farm wraps up its Easter season with its second weekend of Easter celebrations, with vintage amusement rides, fun farm attractions, and Easter Bunny photos. $10.95+. 10am to 5pm.

Easter Weekend at Kemah Boardwalk | Good Friday, April 18 to Easter Sunday, April 20 | FREE – The Boardwalk celebrates Easter with a weekend of family fun, with visits from the Easter Bunny on all 3 days, a candy hop, craft activities, live DJs, a stiltwalker, and balloon artists. Times vary.

Easter Photo-Op at Market Street | Good Friday, April 18 to Easter Sunday, April 20 – Throughout Easter Weekend, you can stop by The Woodlands shopping and dining destination to take Easter-themed photos. Times vary.

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny at & Rainforest Cafe Galveston & Rainforest Cafe Katy Mills | Saturday, April 19 – The jungle-themed restaurants at either end of the Houston metro host Easter-themed breakfasts with activities, raffles, prizes, and photo ops with the Easter Bunny. $29.75; $19.50 for ages 4 to 10; free for ages 3 and under. 8am to 10am.

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny at the Downtown Aquarium | Saturday, April 19 – Greet the Easter bunny on your way into a buffet breakfast. $26.06; $21.44 for ages 3 to 10; free ages 2 and under. 8:30am to 10:30am.

Easter Egg Hunt at The George Ranch | Saturday, April 19 – Fort Bend’s annual egg hunt returns, offering families Easter eggs with a side of Texas history. Also expect baby chicks and photos with shetland sheep. $16 admission; $11 ages 4 to 12; free ages 3 and under. 9am to 5pm. Egg hunt for ages 4 and under at 11:30am; ages 5+ hunt at 1:30pm.

Easter Egg Hunt at Emancipation Park | Saturday, April 19 | FREE – Third Ward’s destination park hosts an egg hunt, photos with the Easter Bunny, and more family fun. 10am to noon.

Galveston Easter Egg Hunt at Seawolf Park | Saturday, April 19 | FREE – On the east side of the island, families are invited to join a morning of Easter egg hunts, photo ops with the Easter Bunny, face painting, music, games, free donuts and cotton candy, and more. $6 parking. 10am to 1pm.

Easter in the Park at Town Center Park | Saturday, April 19 | FREE – The Kingwood shopping and dining hub hosts a day of vendors and food trucks that kicks off with egg hunts grouped by age starting at 10:30am, and Easter Bunny photos until 1:30pm. 10am to 4pm.

A Very Hoppy Brunch at Brennan’s of Houston | Saturday, April 19 – Midtown’s annual brunch event returns to the southern Creole institution, serving up a 3-course brunch alongside photos with the Easter Bunny. Prices vary. 11am to 2pm.

Super Happy Toy Show & Art Market: Easter Edition at Saint Arnold Brewing Company | Sunday, April 19 | FREE – The all-ages event offers a chance to browse and take home vintage and collectible toys and artwork, while getting to also celebrate Easter a day early with a special egg hunt and photos with the visiting Easter Bunny. 11am to 6pm.

Zootopia Movie Screening with the Easter Bunny at The River Oaks Theatre | Saturday, April 19 – Visit the iconic, recently renovated theater to snag goodies from the Easter Bunny himself, followed by a screening of Disney’s 2016 movie, Zootopia (PG) following Judy Hopps, the first rabbit to join the police force. $11 to $24. 11:45am.

Eggstravaganza Market at The Esplanade in Navigation | Saturday, April 19 | FREE – The cultural center of Houston’s East End will be filled with local vendors, activities for the kiddos, photo ops, and an Easter egg hunt. Noon to 4pm.

Hoppy Tails & Happy Tunes at Houston Humane Society | Saturday, April 19 | FREE – Enjoy a spring festival celebration with live music, a pet parade, egg hunt, and a vibrant vendor village. Free RSVP required for egg hunt. 1pm to 3pm.

2nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Ocean Star Drilling Rig | Saturday, April 19 | FREE – The former oil rig in Galveston hosts hunts through the day, staggered by floor. Also expect shaving cream creations, egg dyeing, coffee filter flowers, bunny masks, coloring and more activities. Included with admission $12; $10 military; $8 ages 7 to 18; free ages 6 and under. 2:30pm to 5pm.

Easter Celebration at City Place | Saturday, April 19 | FREE – The beautiful mixed use district in Spring welcomes all for photos with the Easter Bunny, a petting zoo, arts and crafts, and more. 3:30pm to 6:30pm.

Things to Do on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025

If you’re looking for options for Easter Sunday brunch and dinner, keep your eyes open for our full list, publishing by Wednesday, April 9.

Easter Celebration & Egg Hunt at Holy Comforter Lutheran Church | FREE – All families with kids from pre-k through 5th grade are invited to join in a free outdoor egg hunt in Kingwood between Easter morning services. Also expect kids activities, prizes, and more. Egg hunt 10am; optional Easter services at 8:15am and 11am. 

Easter Service: The Woodlands First Baptist Church at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion | FREE – The Woodlands First Baptist Church hosts a traditional Easter service at the giant Woodlands venue. 10am.

Bunnies on the Bayou 46 at Wortham Center – A signature annual event for Houston’s LGBTQIA+ community, the Easter Sunday celebration returns to the shores of Buffalo Bayou with live DJs and entertainers, drinks, plenty of dancing, games, people-watching, and more. $65 and up. 1pm to 6pm.

4th Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Grimes Park | FREE – The Sunnyside park hosts an annual fun-filled Easter event with egg-hunting, vendors, and community bonding. 2:30pm to 6pm.

Easter Sunday: Bluebonnet Cup at Houston Polo Club – Don your Easter finest and maybe win the best dressed couple contest at an evening with a world class polo match, player parade, live music, expert announcing, Champagne divot stomp at halftime, and more. $18+. 5pm.

Third Ward Annual Easter Block Party at Malone Park | FREE – The annual Easter party will feature egg hunts, live music, food trucks, live music, and more. 1pm to 4pm.
