Hit up a Houston hidden treasure with outdoor weekend tours of The Orange Show on Saturdays and Sundays from 9am to noon.

If you’re looking to get out on a weekend and see something unique in Houston, The Orange Show Monument in East End is a world-renown folk art environment on the National Register of Historic Places and is open for touring every Saturday and Sunday.

Built, painted and placed by hand, The Orange Show is a dedication to the favorite fruit of late Houston postal worker, Jefferson Davis McKissack. For more than twenty years, McKissack formed this outdoor maze-like homage, which includes walkways, balconies, arenas and exhibits decorated with brightly colored mosaics and made from concrete, brick, steel and found objects.

Tours are every thirty minutes on Saturday and Sunday and will abide by public safety procedures, including advanced ticketing, limited tour capacity, required masks and social distancing. Click here for more information.
