Celebrate regional talent with the Big Show 2016 at Lawndale Art Center

Make your way to the opening of the Big Show 2016 at Lawndale Art Center on Friday, July 22, 2016.

Curated with the intent of showcasing artists living within a 100-mile radius of the institution, Lawndale Art Center’s annual Big Show is a juried exhibition where new work will be displayed by eligible artists in all media.

The 2016 edition of the show will be juried by Apsara DiQuinzio, curator of modern and contemporary art at the Berkeley Art Museum, Phyllis C. Wattis, also of the Berkeley Art Museum, and Tina Kukielski, executive director of ART21.

The exhibit is on view at Lawndale through Saturday, August 27, 2016. Awards will be announced at 7pm.

  • Times: Opening reception 6:30pm to 8:30pm; awards announced 7pm. Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm; Saturday noon to 5pm.

  • Parking: Free lot and street parking is available in the surrounding area
