Houston is a great place to unwind. In this series, we’ll hop from neighborhood to neighborhood, diving into the fun and tasty ways to join in on the time-honored tradition of Sunday Funday, from brunch to live music and more.
Home to the Houston Astros, Minute Maid Park (also known as The Juice Box) sits in the center of downtown and within walking distance to the fun-loving hood of EaDo, making it an ideal place for a Sunday Funday during baseball season or year-round.
Whether you’re brunching or bar hopping, here’s how to make your Sunday by the stadium a fun one.

Catch a game at two-level sports bar named for an Astros legend
Stationed at the sleek Marriott Marquis Hotel (the one with the Texas-shaped pool) just across from Minute Maid, Biggio’s is exactly where you want to get into the baseball spirit.
Named after Houston Astros Hall of Famer Craig Biggio, the sports bar features awesome things like a duo of 30-foot tall high-definition screens plus 30 more screens, VIP booths and lounge seating, 20 beers on tap and a full list of cocktails, plus homerun pub grub from ballpark pretzels to smokehouse chili dogs.
