Before kids go back to the classrooms, Galveston hosts the Galveston Island Back to School Bucket List Challenge, offering visitors of all ages to experience fun adventures, create memories, get discounts at participating businesses, and take home a prize.
The island scavenger hunt that begins at the Galveston Island Visitor Information Center, where guests can pick up their free Galveston Island Back-to-School Bucket List passport.
Complete at least 6 of the 10 items on the list and return the completed list to the Visitor Center to receive a prize.
In addition, many Galveston Island businesses will be offering exclusive deals in connection with the challenge.

- Visit Historic Downtown Galveston and savor a sweet treat
- Take a photo with a mural
