In Josefina López’s beloved vivacious comedy—about sisterhood, resilience, and self-acceptance—follows five Latina women navigating the pressures of body image, immigration, and cultural expectations.

Debuting in 1990, later inspiring the 2002 film and a Broadway musical, the play follows multiple generations as they work to meet an impossible deadline—and reveal their hopes and struggles.
