Enter if you dare at the Haunted House all this month at the National Museum of Funeral History (NMFH) through Saturday, November 4, 2017.
Rising from the gravestones once again, 2017 is lucky number seven for the NMFH’s yearly family-friendly Haunted House. Designed for ages 12 and up, the haunt presents a light-hearted view of a usually very serious subject.
Running daily through Saturday, November 4, guests can return again and again, exploring different scenes designed to give goosebumps to young and old alike.
Spooks & Scares at the NMFH Haunted House
Feign a fright, or get genuinely startled, as you walk through bone-chilling scenes at this haunted attraction set up like a haunted maze.
Visitors will wander through spooky settings, including a Louisiana swamp, a witch’s kitchen, pirate’s cave, and a cemetery. There is a photo op with scary movie characters.
All surprises are automated, so adults can rest easy knowing that no actors or other amateur scarers will be lurking around the corner, waiting to pop out screaming or grabbing at wrists.
The Haunted House is rated PG-13 and is recommended for children 12 and up. Children under 12 are allowed to attend if they dare, but must be accompanied by an adult.
Uncertain parents and guardians are encouraged to walk through the haunted house first, before deciding whether it’s a fit for their kiddos.
Halloween Season at the Museum of Funeral History
Be sure to visit the National Museum of Funeral History throughout the season for fall activities that are fun for the whole family.
Look at classic and contemporary cars (some cars will even be dressed up) during the annual Halloween Classic Car Show with a fall festival atmosphere on Saturday, October 28, 2017.
In addition, you can learn about and try out Latin customs during the Dia de los Muertos Celebration from Wednesday, November 1 through Saturday, November 4, 2017.
