  • Culinary Innovators Creating Community at Asia Society Texas | Tuesday, March 26 – As part of the Women’s Leadership Series at Asia Society, three of Houston’s culinary trendsetters dish about their careers, inspirations and service to the city’s communities. Hear from Top Chef finalist Dawn Burrell, James Beard Award winner Benchawan Jabthong Painter of Street to Kitchen, and James Beard semifinalist Kiran Verma of Kiran’s. $50. 6pm.
  • Myra Melford Fire & Water Quintet in Concert at Cy Twombly Gallery | Wednesday, March 27 | FREE – The intimate Twombly galleries on the Menil campus are the stage for this night of improvisational performances from artist and musician Myra Melford. 5:30pm and 7:30pm.
  • CultureMap Tastemaker Awards at Silver Street Studios | Wednesday, March 27 – This annual foodie event celebrates Houston’s top restaurant and bar talent, as selected by their peers. Mingle with all the nominees, enjoy tasty bites from local chefs and hotspots, sip specialty drinks, and cheer on the winners as they are unveiled. $60 and up. 7pm.
  • Texas Archive of the Moving Image: Tonight at 7 at MATCH | Wednesday, March 27 | FREE – This one-hour program features archival footage curated from the KPRC and KHOU collections in the possession of Texas Archive of the Moving Image. Expect to see a showcase of the top news and sports stories, production specials and behind-the-scenes features ranging from 1961 to 2004. 7pm.
  • Comedian Maria Bamford at Houston Improv | Wednesday, March 27 – The comedian, actor and writer comes to the Spring Branch club for hilarious night of comedy. Bamford is known for her deeply personal and experimental comedy about mental illness, including her semi-autobiographical Netflix series, Lady Dynamite. $25 and up. 7:30pm.

  • 30th Anniversary: A 3-Part Celebration at Project Row Houses | Thursday, March 28 – As the Third Ward arts institution enters its fourth decade, join an all-night party that starts with happy hour drinks and entertainment at the row houses, followed by live performances at Emancipation Park, and an afterparty at the legendary Eldorado Ballroom. $75 and up. 5pm to midnight.
  • Mahogany Movie Screening at the DeLuxe Theater | Thursday, March 28 – The iconic film starring Diana Ross gets a screening at the legendary Fifth Ward theater, so expect plenty of silk and fur when attendees roll through in their ’70s best. $10 and up. 7:30pm.
  • Madonna in Concert at Toyota Center | Thursday, March 28 & Friday, March 29 – These back-to-back concerts rescheduled from last September brings the Queen of Pop to Houston, celebrating her four decades of iconic songs in the pop star’s first retrospective tour. Expect to hear hits like “Justify My Love,” “Vogue,” “Like a Virgin” and more in the two hour–plus show. $98 and up, but you may find hard-to-get, better, or cheaper seats on the online ticket resale market. 8:30pm.
  • Opening Weekend: Houston Astros vs. New York Yankees at Minute Maid Park | Thursday, March 28 to Sunday, March 31 – A new coach, a few new faces and the return of several beloved players makes for the start of a new season when the Astros take on familiar foes in the Yankees across four days of Opening Weekend baseball. $29 and up. Times vary.
  • Opening Night: Ronstadt Revue at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Friday, March 29 | FREE – A new slate of concerts and special performances returns to the century-old Miller Outdoor Theatre in Hermann Park. The new season opens with a night of Linda Ronstadt hits as performed by Gesenia, including “You’re No Good,” “Perfidia,” “Desperado” and more. 8pm.

  • Running With My Peeps 5K, 10K & Kids Dash at Addicks Park & Ride | Saturday, March 30 – This inaugural run celebrates the beloved marshmallow candies, offering Peeps swag and multiple run lengths in 5K, 10K and a Kids dash. $52.95 and up; $37.95 for ages 12 and under. 8am.
  • Old Weird Houston at Orange Show World HQ | Saturday, March 30 | FREE – This annual local history fair shares the weird, hidden histories of the unusual people, institutions and events that have molded the city of Houston. In addition to archival documents and panel discussions, you can also take in live music from Mydolls, and enjoy food and drink. 10am to 6pm.
  • Easter Brunches & More Events in Greater Houston | Easter Sunday, March 31 – Find your Easter breakfast, brunch and dinner with our guide to Easter Sunday meals and other fun events for the whole family.
  • 45th Bunnies on the Bayou at Wortham Center | Easter Sunday, March 31 – It’s a fabulous outdoor party with entertainment, drinks, food for purchase, dancing, Grammy Award–winning artist Tracy Young and performances by Blackberri, the icon from Dragula season 5. Ages 21 and up. $65 and up. 1pm to 6pm.
  • Houston Rockets vs. Dallas Mavericks at Toyota Center | Easter Sunday, March 31 – Luka Doncic continues his All-Star season when the Rockets host the Mavs to close out the month of March, with just a few games left in the regular season. $23 and up. 6pm.
