  • Afroman in Concert at Last Concert Cafe | Friday, April 19 – The rapper best known for his single, “Because I Got High” takes the stage north of Downtown for a pre-4/20 show. $30 and up. 7pm.
  • Tomar & the FCs’ Backyard Bash in Concert at the Continental Club | Friday, April 19 – The high energy group brings deep soul and funk grooves to the backyard stage at the Mid-Main spot. $10 and up. 7pm to 10pm.
  • Etienne Charles at Wortham Center | Friday, April 19 – Jazz trumpeter Etienne Charles and his band, Creole Soul, take the Wortham Center stage for Earth Tones, a world premiere co-commision with DaCamera that blends sound, stories, images and film. $41 and up. 8pm.
  • Karbach Reggae Fest at Karbach Brewing Company | Saturday, April 20 | FREE – The Spring Branch brewery hosts a family-friendly Reggae Fest with a day of good vibes, local vendors, and music by artists like Mellow Mood, Dem Roots, the Katastrophics, Soulfiya, and more. 2pm to 11pm.
  • Third Eyeland Party ’24 at Galveston Island Brewing | Saturday, April 20 – This popular event returns to Galveston Island Brewing for the fifth year, with two stages of live music, light show visuals, art installations, a vendor market, food pop-ups, and other fun. $30. 4pm to 10pm.

  • 4/20 Party at 8th Wonder Brewery | Saturday, April 20 | No Cover – Catch live music from Marley Moon, Dollar Disco, the Stevie Clear Experience and DJ G-Funk at this afternoon bash in EaDo. 8th Wonder will serve up their THC-infused drinks and tasty brews, Clutch City Crawfish will sling some mudbugs, and you can join the vibe with a laser show, fire breathers, stilt walkers, face painters and more. 4pm to 10pm.
  • Adam Ant at Bayou Music Center | Saturday, April 20 – Coming stateside for the first time in five years, pillars of new wave music Adam Ant brings Antmusic to the Bayou City. $54 and up. 8pm.
  • 23rd Annual Noche Caliente with David Sánchez at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Saturday, April 20 | FREE – Come out to Hermann Park for an incredible evening of music celebrating the different cultures of the Hispanic community. David Sánchez is recognized around the world as one of the finest saxophonists of his generation. His mastery of the instrument is undeniable, and his sound is unmistakable. 8:15pm.
  • Lucille’s presents Prince Day Market & Concert at the Historic Eldorado Ballroom | Sunday, April 21 – Celebrating the iconic musician, this day of activities includes a market with local vendors offering a variety of goods, along with a Prince tribute concert in the afternoon. The market is free to attend; concert tickets are $35 and up. Noon to 7pm.
  • Jazzy Sundays at Buffalo Bayou Park | Sunday, April 21 | FREE – R&D Lab takes over the Water Works stage with Lolade for the third of four Jazzy Sundays installments at Buffalo Bayou Park. 5pm to 7pm.

  • Amanda Ekery: Árabe Concert at Asia Society Texas Center | Friday, April 5 | FREE – Following a week-long residency at UH, the vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and composer Amanda Ekery will work with the public to create and perform songs at Asia Society’s first public installation, Rafael Domenech and Tomas Vu: Heat Silhouette. 6:30pm to 7:30pm.
  • Oneus at Bayou Music Center | Friday, April 5 – The hit K-Pop band, Oneus, brings its R&B-tinged songs to the Bayou City on their second world tour, La Dolce Vita. $75.50 and up. 7:30pm.
  • The Disco Biscuits at the Heights Theater | Friday, April 5 – Trance-fusion pioneers the Disco Biscuits are back on the scene with their first release since 2011, a space rock opera called Revolution In Motion. $38 and up. 7:30pm.
  • H-Town Blues Festival at NRG | Friday, April 5 – The annual blues festival is back in H-town for its 16th iteration and it’ll have renowned artists Tucka, Pokey Bear, King George and more on the bill. $59 and up. 8pm.

  • The Black Crowes at 713 Music Hall | Friday, April 5 – The Atlanta-based Southern rock band comes to Downtown with music from their brand new studio release Happiness Bastards, the first album since reuniting in 2019. $64 and up. 8pm.
  • Palomazo Norteño at 713 Music Hall | Saturday, April 6 – The renowned norteño band brings its signature fusion of modern beats and rhythms with traditional norteño music to the Post Houston stage. $109.59 and up. 8pm.
  • Ledisi at Bayou Music Center | Saturday, April 6 – The prolific jazz, R&B, and neo-soul singer-songwriter and actress, Ledisi brings music from her tenth studio album, The Good Life. $64 and up. 8pm.
  • Offset at Bayou Music Center | Sunday, April 7 – Founding member of the hugely influential rap group Migos, the formative rapper Offset comes through on his first headlining tour supporting his second album, Set It Off. $53 and up. 8pm.
  • Jazzy Sundays at Buffalo Bayou Park | Sunday, April 7 | FREE – The annual Jazzy Sunday series moves to Buffalo Bayou Park with four Sunday outdoor concerts open to the public. Catch Ghost Note with Monterey Jazz and the TSU All-Stars (April 7); Free Radicals with Hot Box (April 14); R&D Lab with Lolade (April 21); and cap it off with Chief Adjuah and Sal Capone (April 28), before the series moves to Discovery Green for the month of May. 5pm to 7pm.
