This fall, Sugar Land has the perfect concoction of spooky, creepy, gooey, and scare-free options to make sure all the kids in your live—including the grown ones—are in their proper fall spirits.
From trick or treating and costumes to Day of the Dead ofrendas and calaveras, you can find fall holiday spirit right up until Halloween Day and into November.
2022 Halloween & Dia del los Muertos Events in Sugar Land
- Halloween at Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center | Through Saturday, October 29, 2022 – Hands on Halloween activities rule, with new activities each week. Kids can go trick or treating almost daily, channel their inner mad scientists making gooey creations during Creepy Concoctions WonderWeek, meet the friendly vampire Vampira, go wild during Monster Mayhem WonderWeek, have an oozy good day at Slime Time, and more. Dates and hours vary.
- Dia de los Muertos Exhibit at Sugar Land Heritage Center & Visitor Center | Tuesday, October 25 through Saturday, November 5, 2022 | FREE – Marking the 123rd year of Hispanic heritage in Sugar Land, the special two-week exhibit showcases a display of altars created by local families in commemoration of their ancestors who lived in Sugar Land. Closed Sundays and Mondays. 10am to 5pm.
- Dia de los Muertos Celebration at Sugar Land Town Square | Saturday, October 29, 2022 | FREE – To honor the beloved Mexican holiday, there will be traditional mariachi and ballet folklorico performances, Aztec dancers, cultural exhibits, and family-friendly fun to celebrate the day’s special meaning. Noon to 5pm.
- Ghost Tours at Fort Bend Museum | Friday, October 28, 2022 – Plan ahead and reserve your spot to tour the 1855 Long-Smith Cottage, 1883 Moore Home, and Fort Bend Museum block in an after-hours tour while staff recount unexplainable experiences through the years. $15. Reservations required for 7pm, 7:30pm, 8pm, and 8:30pm tours.
- Halloween Town at Constellation Field | Saturday, October 29, 2022 – Bring the whole family out in costume to enjoy candy, games, activities, and more . Advance tickets start at $11; $8 for ages 4 to 12 are $8; free for ages 3 and under. Prices go up day of the event. 3pm to 9pm.
- Halloween Trick or Treating at Department of Wonder | Halloween Day, Monday, October 31, 2022 – The stunning, new immersive attraction opens its doors for three very unique, one-hour trick or treating sessions on the big day itself. $20. 3pm to 6pm.
