• Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo at NRG Park | Daily – Happening through the first three weeks of March, the Houston Rodeo offers full days of carnival fun, festival eats, livestock and petting zoos, a vendor marketplace, and a nightly main event of bronco bustin’ and headlining concerts. NRG Park admission is $20 for ages 13 and up; $10 for ages 3 to 12; free for ages 2 and under. Carnival rides, rodeo and concert admission is an additional cost. 10am to 9pm daily.
• Crazy About Critters presents the Learning Zoo at the Woodlands Children’s Museum | Wednesday, March 8 – Laugh, learn, and get hands-on during an educational animal encounter, on stage with the Learning Zoo in the Woodlands. $8. 11am.
• Crystalline Resonance: Final Fantasy Piano Concert at Hobby Center | Thursday, March 9 – Celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Final Fantasy video game series, this concert brings some of the acclaimed piano works to the Downtown stage, synced with video game footage and memorable moments of the franchise. $58 and up. 8pm.
• Comic Conroe at Lone Star Convention Center | Friday, March 10 to Sunday, March 12 – This three-day convention in Conroe highlights the worlds of comics and pop culture, offering autograph sessions with anime voice actors and artists, local vendors, a cosplay costume contest, and more. $10 and up. • Little BIPOC Book Fest at Discovery Green | Saturday, March 11 | FREE – This afternoon celebration in Downtown features a unique Storybook Opera performance, readings from local authors, arts and crafts, and free books that feature Black, Indigenous, and People of Color experiences. 10am to 2pm.
• Rock the Block Street Festival at Children’s Museum Houston | Saturday, March 11 – Kicking off Spring Break festivities at the Children’s Museum, this all-day festival offers carnival games, mini golf, double-hoop basketball and Caribbean steel drum sounds from Steel Appeal. Plus, you can take a gander at Art Car vehicles and get grooving to beats from DJ Ernie. $15. 10am to 6pm.
• Holi Mela at Telugu Bhavanam in Katy | Saturday, March 11 – In Katy, this Holi festival is highlighted by Bollywood performances, color play, DJ tunes, and kids activities, plus a market featuring food and shopping vendors.
