About Children at Risk

Children at Risk focuses on research and advocacy in areas affecting Texas children, including access to nutritious foods and healthcare, high-quality early childhood education, K-12 education, quality of life for New American children, and reducing the demand for human trafficking.

As the coronavirus crisis has revealed the inequities that vulnerable children and families face, the work of Children at Risk is vital. More than 1.5 million in Texas live in poverty, and another 1.3 million families teeter on its edge.
