The beloved prelude weekend to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, the World’s Championship Bar-B-Que Contest—a.k.a. “The Cook-off”—returns to NRG Park for 3 days, with 250+ teams competing.

Most team tents are invitation-only, but visitors can enjoy several public venues, including The Garden Stage, Rockin’ Bar-B-Que Saloon and the Chuckwagon—where  visitors can pick up their complimentary BBQ plate.

The carnival rides and midway will be open.
