Urban Harvest’s Drive-In Sunday Supper & Movie at Moonstruck Drive-In

Sunday, November 8, 2020 | 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm

$300

Urban Harvest presents a drive-in twist of its fall Sunday Supper fundraiser at Moonstruck Drive-In in the East End.

The delicious, chef-driven dinner features a four-course meal, with each individual course designed and prepared by local chefs, with ingredients source from the Urban Harvest Farmers Market.

The meal will be paired with a drive-in screening of the heartwarming and inspiring documentary film, The Biggest Little Farm (2019).

Fundraiser tickets include dinner for four people, created by chefs Chris Shepherd and Nick Fine of UB Hospitality, Chef Austin Waiter of Tony’s, chefs Becca and Jason Kerr of Little Kitchen HTX, and Chef Elaine Won of Dumpling Haus.

The Drive-In Sunday Supper event will start at 5pm with drive thru food pick up on site, then guests will choose their parking spot for the 6:30pm movie screening.

The Biggest Little Farm

This powerful, deeply personal, and award-winning documentary follows a couple through their successes and failures as they work to develop a sustainable farm on 200 acres outside of Los Angeles. Over the years, the desolate land they purchase begins to thrive and its transformed.

The Four Course Dinner

  • First Course – Taquitos with Tatemó’s handmade corn tortillas from UB Hospitality.
  • Second Course – Legendary dumplings from Dumpling Haus.
  • Third Course – Grits made from Harvest Grain Mills organic rice, grown in Winnie, from Austin Waiter of Tony’s.
  • Fourth Course – Movie treats: popcorn and Shenanigans, an addictive and spicy riff on trail mix, from Little Kitchen HTX.

Social Distancing & COVID-19 Precautions

Attendees will remain in their cars throughout the presentation, with a special program set-up for using the restrooms. Face masks are required at all times when outside of vehicles.

Businesses in Houston have opened under modified protocols, following guidelines administered by local health officials, the State of Texas and CDC. At this time, guidance from experts urges people to continue wearing face masks when in public spaces, practice social distancing of at least six feet, limit your touching of surfaces and frequently use hand sanitizer or soap and water to keep your hands clean.

Before heading out, take time to familiarize with your destination’s requirements or restrictions at this moment, and be sure to contact them ahead of time with any questions or concerns.
