Shauna Marie Martin, an encaustic artist and Texas State Board of Educators certified educator, hosts an introductory workshop where participants will learn to paint with wax and create 2 of their own 5”x5” encaustic works of art on wood panels.

Using their own photographs, attendees will work with provided oil paints and encaustic wax to create beautifully layered compositions, evoking timeless hand-painted photographs of the late 1800s with a modern twist, in the 2-hour workshop.

The class is designed for artists of all levels, including anyone new to encaustic painting or new to creating their own art.

Ages 18 and up. Space is limited.
