Community Music Center Houston presents the fourth edition of Philly Soul Sound, celebrating the Sound of Philadelphia, at Miller Outdoor Theatre.

The funky musical genre rose to prominence in the late 1960s and throughout the 1970s, recognized for its soulful string arrangements, brassy horns, and lively rhythms that gave this music its distinctive characteristics.

This year’s show will include an all-male four-part harmony group and an all-female four-part harmony group, and will include classic hits like “Love Train”, “Me and Mrs. Jones”, “Hey There Lonely Girl”, “Nights Over Egypt”, and “You Make Me Feel Brand New”.
