Japan-America Society of Houston (JASH) presents Japan Festival Houston—a performing arts showcase bringing the energy, elegance, and excitement of Japan’s rich cultural heritage to life—at Miller Outdoor Theatre in the heart of Hermann Park.

The day will feature a dynamic, ongoing lineup of traditional and contemporary performances, blending centuries-old artistry with modern interpretations that celebrate Japan’s evolving theatrical landscape.

Audiences should expect the thunderous beats of taiko drums, graceful yukata dancers, samurai swordsmanship by martial artists, Takarazuka-style an all-female musical theater revues, and more.

Audiences can also catch Lights, Action, Japan!—a dazzling and artistic spectacle from alumni of Takarazuka Revue—the evening prior to the festival on Saturday, September 6 at 8pm.
