Hands on Texas History Festival at The Bryan Museum
Saturday, June 29, 2019 | 10:00 am to 5:00 pm$5
The Bryan Museum will celebrate Texas history with the best living history festival that Galveston Island has ever seen.
Hands on Texas History will feature live maritime, Celtic, and pioneer music, a chuckwagon, a comedic medicine show, a branding demonstration, a gunsmith, Buffalo Soldiers, games, costumed historical re-enactors, an authentic WWII 2 truck and jeeps, coastal animals, delicious barbecue, beer and wine, and more.
Visitors can take a step back in time and interact with countless demonstrations and re-enactors in the museum gardens, all representing exciting, pivotal time periods in the history of Texas.
Learn to play the same games that pioneer children played—and develop essential skills too. Learn how to start a fire, use a branding iron, try your hand at spinning cotton thread, and even make your very own corn husk doll to take home.
Tickets are $5; $3 for ages 15 and under. They include museum entry. Click here to order tickets or for more information.
