The Orange Show marks the end of the Houston Temple, the intricate temporary art installation created by David Best, with a series of performances followed by a ritual burning ceremony.

In keeping with the artist’s practice, the temple itself was scheduled to be burned, but a Harris County burn ban means that a ritual burning will happen in its place, and the temple disassembled.

The performances will be led by award-winning Houston-based interdisciplinary artist and composer Lisa E. Harris.
