Houston Improv welcomes comedian Michael Blackson, aka “The African King of Comedy”, for 6 stand-up shows over 4 nights.

He’s been called one of the most original stand-up comics in the country and his performances leave audiences laughing in tears.

Blackson had his first big breaks appearing in BET’s ComicView, HBO’s Def Comedy Jam Showtime at Harlem and Live in Hollywood. After Ice Cube saw his act at L.A’s Comedy Cellar, he cast him in the smash comedy movie Next Friday, keeping Blackson’s comedy career churning until today with appearances across the U.S. and the globe.
