Bach Society Houston presents Erickson’s St. John Passion, the second in a pair of Holy Week concerts showcasing the profound beauty of sacred music, at Christ the King Lutheran Church on Rice Boulevard. 

The concert concludes the society’s Holy Week journey with a moving performance featuring the Bach Society Houston Orchestra and Choir and Christ the King Choir, with original music composed by Bach Society Houston’s artistic director, Rick Erickson, and a contemporary translation in English. 

The first concert in the pair, featuring Johann Sebastian Bach’s joyful and rarely performed Himmelskönig, sei willkommen (BWV 182), will take place on Palm Sunday, April 13.
