Apollo Day at George Observatory

Saturday, July 20, 2019 | 10:00 am to 11:00 pm

George Observatory celebrates the past, present, and future of moon landings, with a program of speakers and stellar activities.

Discovery Dome shows will focus on the moon. Since the moon will rise too late for viewing, telescopes will show planets and deep space objects.

Since stargazing is weather dependent, tickets may only be purchased in-person. In the event of overcast skies, tours and talks by our expert astronomers are still available.

Tickets are $10; $9 for age ages 11 and under, active military, teachers, and 65 and over; $7 for members. Some activities have additional charges. Click here for more information.

This Boosted Calendar Listing was sponsored by Visit Sugar Land. These are expanded beyond our basic listings, featuring event graphics and images and more detailed information. They’re added to our calendar within one business day of purchase. When relevant, they are included automatically with all advertising campaigns, packages, and orders.
