Saturday, February 16, 2019 | 8:00 pm

The Apollo Chamber Players presents Theremin Fantasies—a program that explores the soundscapes of theremin, a unique electronic instrument played without physical contact by the performer.

Theremin superstar Carolina Eyck joins Apollo for her first ever concert in Texas. The show will feature an arresting theremin-featuring septet by Czech composer Martinu and new works by Eyck for theremin and string quartet.

Houston Grand Opera principal oboist Elizabeth Priestly Siffert and University of Zacatecas (Mexico) Professor of Piano Dr. Alejandro Barrañón also join as guest artists. Dr. Barrañón is a University of Houston Moores School of Music alumnae.

There will be a pre-concert question and answer session with guest artists at7:30pm. The performance beings at 8pm.
