Apollo Chamber Players in Concert: Diversity at the Hobby Center
Friday, March 21, 2025 | 7:30 pm
TBD
Apollo Chamber Players continue their 2024-25 season, We The People, with Diversity, a live concert at Zilkha Hall at the Hobby Center.
The performance is also presented in concert with the Persian New Year of Nowruz and celebrates the multicultural beauty of Houston, the most ethnically diverse city in America.
It’s also a reflection on the rarity of a country born with freedom of speech and religion—and diversity of thought—as an integral part of its democratic DNA. Will America ever realize the promise of a truly pluralistic society living in harmony?
Special guests include Composer Reza Vali, Pejman Hadadi on percussion, and Shaheen Rahman, board president of Islamic Arts Society.
Apollo’s 2024-25 Season: We The People
Diversity is the third of four concert performances in Apollo’s We The People season, exploring American democracy in both its ideals and its imperfections. Preceded by Liberty and Opportunity, it will be concluded with Freedom in May.
