AIDS Foundation Houston’s World AIDS Day 2020: A Virtual Experience

For 2020, AIDS Foundation Houston, Inc. (AFH) presents its annual World AIDS Day event as a virtual experience
The event will feature performances from America’s Got Talent semi-finalist Christina Wells and iconic Houston drag superstar Dessie Love-Blake.
Emceed this year by Houston Public Media’s Ernie Manouse, the annual fundraiser supports AFH in its mission to end the HIV epidemic in Houston and to provide education, testing, housing, and supportive services to individuals affected by HIV/AIDS.
Event programming will also feature testimonials from AFH board members and clients, along with speakers Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner, Judge Lina Hidalgo, former Houston Mayor Annise Parker, fashion designer Mondo Guerra, Dr. Bruce Richmond, and more.
Shelby Hodge will present the 2020 Shelby Hodge Vision Award to Cleve Jones, HIV activist and founder of the NAMES Project AIDS Memorial Quilt, and an interview between Cleve and Ernie Manouse will follow.
The 2020 World AIDS Day event will take place on Giving Tuesday and serves as an opportunity for those who connect with the AFH mission to contribute to the cause.
