4th Wall Theatre Company presents The Counter—a heartfelt play following Paul, a retired firefighter, and Katie, his regular server—at Studio #101 in Spring Street Studios.

Recently seen on Off Broadway in New York City  and acclaimed as an “intensely provocative new American play”, Meghan Kennedy’ The Counter is making its regional premiere in Houston.

In the play, Paul reaches out for friendship after months of small talk, and Katie agrees, sensing his need.

Their bond deepens through shared secrets, leading both to rediscover hope and joy in human connection.
