The largest and oldest festival of Islamic arts in the U.S, the Islamic Arts Festival returns for its 112th year at the Student Center South on the University of Houston main campus in the heart of Houston.

More than 5,000 pieces of art from more than 50 artists from across the U.S. will be on display and available for purchase.

Many experts consider the festival to be the best place to buy Islamic art in America.

The 2-day event will feature a display of visual art, a film festival, a Muslim comedy show by Preacher Moss, a Sufi music concert by Abdullah Kaymak, a live art demo, spoken art program, an academic seminar, hands-on Islamic art workshops, and more.

There will also be interactive art sessions, ethnic foods for sale, live demonstrations on calligraphy, henna tattoos, ebru, painting, and a variety of children’s art activities.
