  • Dining Out for Life at Restaurants Around Houston | Thursday, April 27 Eat out at participating Houston area restaurants to support AIDS Foundation Houston through the annual fundraiser Dining Out For Life. Prices and locations vary. All day.
  • Museum Experience Day: Zone 2 in the Museum District | Saturday, April 29 – Explore zone 2 of the museum district as museums offer free or discounted admission to check out exhibits, take part in crafts, witness re-enactments and more at places like HCCC and Asia Society. 10am to 6pm.
  • Throwdown Texas Burger & Music Fest at Town Green Park | Saturday, April 29 – Sample burgers, enjoy live music, and let the little ones run wild in the kids zone at this all day event in The Woodlands that benefits the Montgomery County Food Bank. $10. 11am to 8pm.
  • Funomenal Family Festival at Discovery Green | Saturday, April 29 | FREE – Bring the whole family to Discovery Green for music from DJ Astra, dance performances, baby Olympics, foam parties, zip lines, rides and more. 1pm to 6pm.
  • Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers in Concert at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion | Saturday, April 29 – Catch Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers’ 40th Anniversary Tour, which will come to The Woodlands for a Saturday night show. Tickets start at $39.50, not including ticket fees. 7:30pm.
  • Bring Your Own Beamer at The Menil Collection | Saturday, April 29 | FREE – BYOB (Bring Your Own Beamer) to The Menil Collection to project your images, videos or films on the exterior of the building along with other artists and amateurs. 8:30pm to 10:30pm.
  • Texas Crawfish Festival at Preservation Park | Saturday, April 29 and Sunday, April 30 – Head to Old Town Spring for a weekend-long festival full of country music, activities for the kids, Zydeco acts, and lots of crawfish. Tickets start at $5. Saturday noon to midnight; Sunday noon to 6pm.
  • BP MS150 | Saturday, April 29 and Sunday, April 30 – Bike from Houston to Austin with more than 10,000 other cyclists in this annual fundraiser supporting the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. $130. 6:45am both days.
