All Weekend Long

  • Themed Dance Nights at Barbarella | Wednesday through Saturday – Depending on the night you attend, you can get down to soulful Motown during Gritz ‘N Gravy, the hippest current tracks with New Noise, or even some throwbacks during their ’90s Night. Be sure to check their Facebook page for the themes each night, as they often change. Cover ranges between $1 to $10. Wednesday to Saturday 9:30pm to 3am.
  • Midnight Madness: The Godfather at River Oaks Theatre | Friday and Saturday – Watch the classic film The Godfather at River Oaks Theatre for their Midnight Madness series. Tickets are $10.50. Midnight.

  • Scrabble in the City at Saint Arnold Brewery Join a team and head to Saint Arnold for a night of strategy, scheming, and partying during this annual scrabble tournament that raises funds for Literacy Advance of Houston. Tickets start at $75, not including ticket fees. 6:30pm to 9pm.
  • Wine Down Wednesday at Dionisio Winery | FREE to Attend – Meet new people, network with other small business owners, and drink wine at the Wine Down Wednesday at Dionisio Winery in Pearland. 7pm to 10pm.
  • Award Winning Karaoke at Guava Lamp | FREE to Attend – Sing to your heart’s content or just be a spectator at Guava Lamp’s Award Winning Karaoke event every Wednesday night. 10pm to 2am.

  • Eat Drink Art Mixer at Houston Museum of African American Culture Explore the artworks and learn about new programs at the Houston Museum of African American Culture. Guests will also be able to enjoy complimentary lite bites and wine, with the opportunity to purchase goods from local area small businesses and artisans. Tickets are $20; $35 for two. 6pm to 10pm.
  • Tegan & Sara in Concert at Warehouse Live Watch Tegan and Sara live in concert as they perform their 2016 eighth studio album Love You to Death. Tickets start at $36, not including ticket fees. 7pm.
  • Studio Runway Show at The 1940 Air Terminal Museum For one night only STRUT and the Houston Vintage Festival invite you to enjoy the spirit of studio 54 and soul train by joining them at the Houston Vintage Preview Party and Studio Runway Show. Enjoy a night of dancing, music, drinks, and ’70s fashion. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. 7pm to 11pm.
  • Glow & Flow at Yoga Eado Take the unique and fun yoga class Glow & Flow at Yoga Eado where the blacklight and paints will be provided. Tickets are $15 for non-members and $10 for members. 8pm.
  • Finally Friday: A Deep House Party at Guava Lamp | FREE to Attend – Dive into waves of modern deep house back-beats blended with classic lyrics by DJ Houston at Guava Lamp. Ages 21 and up only. 10pm to 2am.

  • Arts & Drafts at The Silo Come see live music, painters, sculptors, and glass blowers while sipping on a cold beer at Arts & Drafts at The Silo. Tickets start at $25, not including ticket fees. 3pm to 8pm.
  • Houston Black Heritage Music & Arts Festival The Houston Black Heritage Music and Arts Festival is a celebration of art, music, and culture. This year grammy award-winning R&B singer Monica will be performing live at Discovery Green in Downtown. Tickets are $25; $10 for children; and $75 for VIP. 4pm to 10pm.
  • Celebrity Skin Art Show at The Hardy & Nance Studios | FREE to Attend – See art based on your favorite films and directors at the opening reception for Celebrity Skin Art Show at The Hardy & Nance Studios. 5pm.
  • Flea by Night at Discovery Green | FREE to Attend – This destination market features an array of artful kitsch, vintage items, mid-century modern furniture, recycled and repurposed items, and collectibles in Houston’s Downtown park. 6pm.
  • The Shakedown Dance Night at The Flat | FREE to Attend – Dance to disco, funk, and soul with DJ’s SoulOne and J. Salaam while enjoying drink specials at this Montrose-area dive. 7pm to 2am.
  • Black Kite in Concert at Walter’s Downtown Local favorites Black Kite celebrate their album release with special guest local bands and DJs at Walter’s Downtown. Tickets are $10 at the door. 8pm
  • Les Femmes Dance Night at Boondocks | FREE to Attend – Bust a move for an all-female DJ night at Boondocks with spinners DJ Gracie Chavez, GRRRL PARTS, and Angiesliste. 10pm.
