Spice up your September with hot sauce tastings, live music, games and more at the Houston Hot Sauce Festival 2013 in Stafford on Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, September 22, 2013.
You’ll have the chance to sample hundreds of hot sauces and fiery foods from around Houston, Texas and the world as the Houston Hot Sauce Festival returns this 13th time this fall. In addition to the namesake hot sauces, you’ll also be able to tease your tongue with fiery award-winning salsas, marinades, chips, dips, jams, spices and more. If you’re really brave, you can test your spicy tolerance at the lolly lick-a-thon and salsa-eating competitions.
Live music will be presented by the Silverado Band, Zydeco Dots and Willie B. and the Silverbacks. Merchants and artists will also offer clothing, jewelry, art and other goodies for sale.
Kids, who are admitted free if they are 12 and under, will enjoy free face painting, an arts and crafts station, and games like a balloon toss. They’ll also get a kick watching the fire eating demonstration by the Pyro Juggler.
