Create a beautiful display for the Downtown District’s “Art Blocks” public art project by participating in a painting party at Market Square Park on Saturday, January 30, 2016.

Trumpet Flower, a sculpture designed by artist Patrick Renner and produced by art collective Flying Carpet, has been selected for the inaugural event.

Renner, who lives and works out of Houston, is known most notably for his hit Funnel Tunnel sculpture which ran along Montrose near Fairview between 2013 to 2015.

Strips of wood and painting supplies will be available for participants. There is no cost, minimum age, or minimum time commitment to participate. Food trucks will also be onsite for the festivities.
