  • Comedian Josh Adam Meyers at the Riot Comedy Club | Friday & Saturday – The headliner you may have seen on Netflix, Comedy Central, and at festivals and theatres across the country comes to the upstairs stage at Rudyard’s for two nights of laughs. $20 and up. 7pm and 9pm.
  • Comedian Nate Bargatze at NRG Arena | Friday & Saturday – Hailed as “The Nicest Man in Stand-Up” with clean and relatable comedy for all age groups, Nate Bargatze brings his brand of laughs to H-Town. You can check him out on Netflix specials like The Tennessee Kid, Greatest Average American and his latest special Hello, World. $29.75 and up. Times vary.
  • Sugar Land Arts Fest at Smart Financial Centre | Saturday & Sunday – Plan for a full day of all things art with more than 100 visual artist booths to shop from, plus excellent local food, wine and beer gardens, live music and more at this family-friendly weekend event. $10 and up. 10am to 4pm.

  • Full Moon Pool Party at Marriott Marquis Houston – Head up to the iconic Texas-shaped pool at the Downtown Marriott for a night of food, drinks and live music from Rudy Rincon and Grupo Kache. Day passes available for $25. 5:30pm to 9:30pm.
  • Friends Trivia at Little Woodrow’s Shepherd | No Cover – Superfans of Friends should take note as the Little Woodrow’s outpost near Washington Avenue offers up prizes to only the most knowledgeable, along with themed drinks and beer specials all night. 7pm.

  • Celebrity Chefs Against Cancer at the Four Seasons Hotel Houston – Top Houston chefs unite for the fifth annual Celebrity Chefs Against Cancer, a fundraising evening in support of Camp H-Town and its mission to give children with cancer a unique and rewarding experience by offering an “urban camping trip” at Four Seasons Hotel Houston. $175 and up. 6pm to 9pm.
  • Wine Dinner #4: Energia e Tensione at Mimo – The Italian restaurant in East End’s Tlaquepaque Market offers a five-course dinner from Owner-Chef Fernando Rios with wine pairings. $125. 7pm.

  • Top Taco at Post Houston – Taco lovers unite for unlimited taco tastes and signature tequila cocktails from some of the best restaurants in town, plus two stages of live music and entertainment, creative tequila lounge areas, mezcal tasting, and awards for best tacos and tequila cocktails. Ages 21 and up. $75 and up. 6pm to 10pm.
  • ’90s Pop & Pour at Bocca Italian Kitchen – Celebrate the decade of Furby and boy bands with a four-course meal paired with delicious wines and set to pop songs of the ’90s. Each entree will be prepared by celebrity chef and Chopped champion, Chef Justin Turner. $90. 7pm.
  • Chicano Batman in Concert at White Oak Music Hall – Jam out to the Latin rock sounds of Chicano Batman when the LA-based rock band brings their fifth album, Notebook Fantasy, to Northside. $32.50 and up. 7pm.
  • Comedian Leslie Liao at Houston Improv – The stand-up comic, most recently featured on Netflix’s Verified Standup, comes to Houston for a night of introspective comedy built around her experiences as a single Chinese American woman in Los Angeles. $80 for 4, and up. 7:30pm.

  • 68th Sylvan Beach Festival in La Porte – Grab your sunscreen, beach towels and a picnic basket for a whole day full of family fun including carnival rides, food vendors, live music, inflatables, arts and crafts, a vendor market, and a sundown concert as well. $10 and up; free for ages 12 and under. 9am to 11pm.
  • Houston Pets Alive! and GoodCharlie present Adoption Palooza at Powder Keg | FREE – Held in the area around Powder Keg, more than 15 shelters will participate, offering you the chance to meet a variety of adorable, adoptable pets. While there, enjoy vendors, food trucks, raffles, music and more. 10am to 2pm.
  • Rails & Tails Mudbug Festival at Tomball Railroad Depot Plaza | FREE – This is the place to grab some spicy crawfish, hear live Zydeco and Cajun music, and be entertained throughout an entire day of festival fun. 11am to 6pm.
  • Houston Plant Swap at Eureka Heights Brewing | FREE – The monthly plant swap returns to the Heights brewery with free biodegradable seedling pots for you to take home, along with a variety of herb seeds for planting. Swing by and explore more than a dozen vendors, try your hand at plant raffles, and chill with tasty craft brews. Noon to 3pm.
  • Houston Brew Festival at Discovery Green – Take in the great Downtown scenery while sampling 150 beers from over 50 breweries while you enjoy food trucks, cover bands, lawn games and more. $50 and up. 1pm to 4pm.
  • Ice House Radio at Axelrad | FREE – The “Texas Tradition” returns to Axelrad in Third Ward for an afternoon of live DJs in the backyard. Roxy Casbah, JJ, Mato and trawlerboy will spin half-hour sets, followed by an hour of all-vinyl 45s from Pinche Marlen. 2pm to 5pm.
  • Spring Wine Fest 2024 at Kemah Boardwalk – Explore the distinctive wines from the state of Washington with 72 wine samples on tap alongside live music, gorgeous waterfront scenery and appetizers from local restaurants. $59.95 and up. 2pm to 5pm.
  • The Kingwood Big Band: An Afternoon at Back Pew Brewing | FREE – The Kingwood brewery hosts an afternoon of Big Band tunes that include classics like “Fly Me to the Moon,” “Unforgettable,” “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” and more. The family-friendly performance takes place alongside a kids playground, food trucks and tasty craft brews. 2pm to 6pm.
  • Concierto Inolvidable featuring La Mafia at Independence Park | FREE – The Grammy Award–winning Tejano group performs a live concert in Pearland, free to the public. They’ll be joined by David Lee Garza y Los Musicales, Marcos Orosco, IconicZZ and DJ Double O. 6pm.
  • Urban Cowboy Hoe Down at Sam Houston Park | FREE – Hang onto your hat to celebrate Sam Houston Park’s 125th Anniversary with a free showing of Urban Cowboy, dancing, and live country music by Sam Turner and the Cactus Cats. 7pm to 10pm.
  • Emo Night with Shosty at 8th Wonder Brewery | FREE – Gear up for a great night of tunes from this pop punk band that sorts through the nostalgic emo and pop punk hits you love. 8pm to 11pm.
  • Philly Soul Sound Vol. 4 at Miller Outdoor Theatre | FREE – One of Miller’s most anticipated annual shows sees a collection of harmony groups bring to life the prominent music of the ’60s and ’70s, with hits like “Love Train,” “Me and Mrs. Jones,” and more. 8:15pm.
  • Jesse Peyton’s Birthday Comedy Bash at Sam Houston Race Park – The Houston native brings his comedy tour to HTX, bringing along comic Dustin Sims, best known for his “Talking to Myself” series on Snapchat, for a birthday celebration. $30. 10pm.

  • Paella Sunday at Mutiny Wine Room – Come hungry for this live-fire culinary experience by Chef Eduardo in the Heights, where the paella is made fresh in large batches and delivered hot to your table. $38; wine pairings are an additional $15. 1pm, 4pm and 6:30pm.  
  • Houston Zydeco Fest at Emancipation Park – The Third Ward park space hosts an afternoon of Zydeco tunes and food vendors that make up a Creole party with games, contests and more activities. $10 and up; free for ages 8 and under. 1pm to 9pm.
  • Ice House Radio at Equal Parts Brewing | FREE – Part of a double decker weekend for the Ice House Radio crew, the Second Ward brewery off Harrisburg hosts a slate of afternoon DJs inside the taproom. Collin, Buddy Lembeck, Huey Bosco, DJ Cold One and Brother Jackson will set the soundtrack as you enjoy tasty craft brews and a good hang. 2pm to 6pm.
  • USPA Western Challenge at Houston Polo Club – Don your best straw hat as these high-goal teams go head-to-head in this highly anticipated match. Stick around for the champagne divot stomp at halftime, live music, player parade, a special trophy presentation, and the crowning of the winner of the Best Straw Hat contest. $18 and up. 5pm.
  • Jazzy Sundays: Chief Adjuah with Sal Capone at Buffalo Bayou Park | FREE – Groove to the sounds of live jazz music at this closing concert at the Water Works at Buffalo Bayou Park. Chief Adjuah and Sal Capone will deliver the tunes while you take in the Houston skyline. 5pm to 7pm.
  • Bronco in Concert at Smart Financial Centre – One of Nuevo León’s finest grupero bands, the legendary Mexican regional music makers Bronco will take over the Sugar Land stage. $56 and up. 7pm.
  • Rolling Stones in Concert at NRG Stadium – One of rock ‘n’ rolls’ most iconic, history making bands of all time comes to Houston to showcase their biggest hits on the Hackney Diamonds tour. $69 and up. 8pm.
